A question regarding a Paul Newman signature

I have come across a signature by Paul Newman and although the Newman looks ok its only signed P L Newman

I was interested to hear if anyone has seen anything like that before?

Most signatures I can find online are all signed full name Paul Newman.

Would love some feedback thanks
