Just went to a premiere of John C Reilly's new film "We need to talk about Kevin". Knew nothing about his bad reputation for autographs, going in. He watched the movie with us and after the film did a Q&A and was funny and seemed cool. There was a group of about 10-15 people waiting. He came out and talked quietly to about 5 of the people (who were apparently hometown friends) then said he had to go and quickly started leaving. He came out and talked quietly to about 5 of the people (who were apparently hometown friends) then said he had to go and quickly started leaving. He looked horribly inconvenienced when a couple asked him to take a pic with them and mumbled somthing like, "ugh...a photo..." but he did take the pic. I bumped fists with him and told him I'm a big fan, rather than jumping right in for the auto...but he looked at me like I was from a different planet so I decided not to even bother asking him for it. Bummer when you have to add another celeb to your sh't list. You had the "Bob Seger" autograph on my mind all day at work I could not remember if i got 1 or 2 and wanted to look so I pulled them out and lucky me I have 2! But they are a capitol records b/w 8 x 10 publicity shots he would not sign the items I brought. But hearing how difficult he is I'm glad I got what I did.

I know that Santana signes from time to time. But it's rare. I have a friend that got him in Stockholm, Sweden about 3 years ago. But back in the 80s and 90s he was no problems. I was lucky to get him at at least 2 different occations.

Steve Winwood has been a great signer. But I'm not a big fan of his new autograph. I prefer the old one.

I don't know what it is with Sammy Hagar and blue pens, but give him a black one and he signes forever.

yeah you for the most part are right about right place right time, but tomei has really turned nasty and doesnt like doing it at all, another guy who has been impossible since about 2000 is santana, i just tried for him a couple of weeks ago in minnesota and i was by myself and he wouldnt do it and his manager was rather nasty about it to. winwood wouldnt even sign for me 1 on 1 either saying he was running late, but the next day i had a great success with hagar as he signed 5 things for me but…

one caveat was that Bob would not sign anything we had, his manager stood there with b/w 8 x 10's and Bob signed them for us right there.

I remember about 15 years ago we went down to get Bob Seger's autograph as he was getting his star done in front of Guitar center in Hollywood. He was inside for about 2 hrs and we kept asking his manager politely to get Bob's autograph. He came out about an hour later and signed for all of us (7 people) and was very cool and polite. Also I have multiple's of Samuel Jackson and Travolta signed Pulp Fiction items but at this time the movie was just getting a lot of buzz and everyone was cool…

Marisa Tomei was very nice when I got her. Sometimes it's just the place and time. I had a one on one with Paul Sorvino outside of a restaurant and waited till he left and he was incensed that I asked and scolded me! You just never know at times
