Hello, everyone. I don't have a question about an autograph, but I thought that perhaps someone here might be able to help me. I have acquired an old Beatle's photo, and it looks like an origianl photo to me. I looked in Google images to see if I could find another one like it, but there wasn't one. Does anyone know how I could find out if the photo is an original photo?

And here is something else for balance. It is an 8"x10" professional Kodachrome transparency - very rare. Edge coded 1940 if I recall correctly, but the image is from summer, 1939. This is the New York World's Fair of 1939, seen from atop the Communications Building - the Great Fair - 1660 acres, 65 miles of paves roads(!), 375 full scale buildings and a 610' tall Theme Structure, the Trylon and Perisphere, which you can see the bottom of here. The globe, the Perisphere, was 180' in diameter and contained a huge diorama of the city of 2039. In 1964, this would be where the Unisphere would be (and still is). Both by United States Steel. Over 40 million people came from around the globe to Flushing Meadows, Queens, to see this exposition. I've got some parts of buildings and exhibits in my collection :)

Very Interesting!

Thank you Sharla :) I think the 1939 looks as though it was taken yesterday - or tomorrow! That was the Theme of this Fair - "Building the World of Tomorrow"! Good luck with your photo search. :)

Sharla,

You're getting very good advice from Eric, but now that members have helped you identify your photo, it's time for you to go to the next step:

Go to a photograph collecting forum or another forum on photography that will help you identify whether your photo is an original, and help you figure out its value. I think it's likely that your photograph doesn't have high value due to its degraded state, but that's just based on what I know about collecting in general. A photography collecting forum is more likely to have the info you need.

Yes. I agree. Thank you for your help.
