Beckett Authenticated Paul McCartney “Handwritten Letter” - How Could This Happen?

I was very surprised to see this item on eBay with an LOA from Beckett. The asking price is $16,995 OBO. What do you think?

Letter heights.

Not yours JIm.

I checked my exemplar file and found that the OP originates from the notorious Heroes and Legends. Here are two more from them:

Myron Ross strikes again  (from the grave).

I don’t understand how he struck with a full letter. I can see just a signature, but a full letter with silly content in a forgery style that has been around for years? The item probably started out at a low forgery price. Now it has a Beckett LOA and a $17K OBO asking price.

I don't think Myron was talented enough to do the forgeries himself but he probably had many of them working for him as the forgers knew he'd take anything. If anyone sees this come up at an auction house, send them the other exemplars and let them know Beckett got it wrong.

It’s the same SoCal style we’ve see from other sources. I was just wondering how a full letter in that style could be authenticated in 2025. If they actually read the letter, shouldn’t the content alone have caused concern?

”I met your brother outside the hotel in Paris and all is well, and I’m now writing this from London.

Hope to see what goes on.”

Hope to see what goes on?

Ive had this note from Paul for years now and still not sure about the time period it was written or what album Paul is referring to. Any idea? Those exact MPL notepaper sheets are not very common.
