When you say, “what do you think about it”, i’m Not sure what aspect of this offering you want to discuss.
1. The items are genuine
2. There are some average items as well
3. This is a nice collection but 55 is not 56. There are quite a few near complete collections but very few complete collections in private hands
4. It recently was auctioned at RR auctions
There is no “may” about it. They are good but interesting that collection have complete documents of Middleton, Hall, Nelson, Lewis and that ilk would also have 7 clip signatures of signers like Bartlett and Hopkinson. The Lynch clip is understandable, but by the time you are dealing with the heavy hitters like Taylor and Middleton you have upgraded the more common signers
Paul: as a research historian, what does this collection mean to you?
