There is a George (Superman) Reeves allegedly signed photo authenticated by Frank Garo, item #150606315148 for $3495.  As a collector of George Reeves signatures, I can see it is clearly a fake, even though it is "authenticated" by Garo.

And I am pretty sure George was not signing dark, 3rd generation photos with gold sharpie pens in the 1950s. This is really sad!

That would be one helluva meeting, Mr. Zipper.  Can you imagine them all sitting there comparing exemplars and they would all have their own personal copy of "The Autograph Collectors Handbook."

Well, another fake George Reeves has appeared on ebay. No certificate tho.

This brings up the old question of whether or not the seller is in the dark about it. And as usual, there is no way to know.

Here's a "signed" Jimi Hendrix Experience debut album on eBay with a Frank Garo certificate. In my opinion, the autograph isn't authentic.

Unfortunately, it sold for $1,026.

I am sorry to hear that. Where & when ?  This is a case of someone not doing any homework at all.

The eBay auction just ended. There's a link under the image that I posted.

I do not see an image for some reason. Was this an ebay auction??

Yes. Here's a link to the eBay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121033710166

ok, now I got it. I thot you were talking about the George Reeves autog.

Sorry for the confusion.

My question to all of you so called experts is “prove it”, I’ll go with forensics every time.
