Elizabeth Taylor SP being auctioned from "the collection of a French gentleman"

....it's in blue ink

....it's "To Peter" (interchangeable with "To Pierre")

....and it's from the Goulliard collection.

Some members might remember earlier discussions concerning this collection.

Same "quality"...obviously not Taylor. Must have been a rather large collection but apparently riddled with "problems."

Some of the members of our classic film autograph group have been discussing doing a more extensive look at the reality of this collection.  It's distressing how it has been distributed so widely over time on an international scale.  And continues.

Well, the number of times you have showed a blue "To Pierre" has me wondering just how much is out there. It would be good to do that - also, some of these have a familiar stylistic ring to them. At least they are (are?) all in blue...

Many of these "signed" items from this collection involve major vintage entertainment names of whom there are plenty of exemplars to do comparisons.  The fact that major auction houses and otherwise honest dealerships have been taken in is especially sad.

And rather unremarkable, unfortunately, the way things have become. Your other thread re cuts is just depressing ...not the authors fault! :-)
