Is this Authentic? - Alfred Hitchcock Large Hand-Drawn self-portrait sketch & autograph - 11" x 14"

Hi All and thank you in advance for your help with this,

I know that this is an authentic autograph, as the history behind it, who my grandfather was and the fact that it has remained sealed since it's framing in 1960 is enough for me. However, to be able to sell this to an avid collector, I am in need of authentication by means of this forum.

Here is the Background: My grandfather was Charles Payne Sutcliffe, Commissioner of the Royal Hong Kong Police (1969-1974). Before he was appointed commissioner he served as Assistant Commissioner (1960-1969). In April 1960, during his first year as Assistant Commissioner, Alfred Hitchcock and his wife embarked on a publicity tour of Europe and Asia for Psycho.

My grandfather was in charge of security during his visit to Hong Kong and as a gesture of thanks, Mr. Hitchcock signed this large autograph. It was immediately framed and sealed in a frame from Man Fong Picture Frames Maker (41 Wellington St. H.K) and has remained sealed in this frame ever since. http://www.police.gov.hk/offbeat/809/eng/n16.htm (my grandfather's background).

It is in pristine condition as a result of remaining untouched all these years.

Size: 11" x 14"

Condition: excellent

Material: appears to be on cardstock/ artist board

Year: 1960

I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

While I cannot attest to its authenticity, having the same last name as you, I am naturally drawn to it!  I just wish that Sir Alfred spelled the name correctly. It is a very nice, clean drawing and signature with what appears to be solid provenance.  I will wait for others to weigh in, Natalie.
