Not based on all of my auction results with Juliens.  Also, the odd dollar winning bids are a dead giveaway. For example, the first lot hammered at 450 pounds and it shows a 576 pounds winning bid which includes 28% buyers premium

That's odd. Usually the winning bid is a bid and final price includes the BP.  I didn't look at other lots though.

You're right. I checked older lots and it said winning bid. Thanks

A few of the auction houses are doing this but you are correct, it is atypical.

So the consignor will receive about $150K?

If these numbers are correct. Its sold for 130k   resold for 235k . So 105k . My guess is juliens takes close to 25 percent from consignors so 55k profit. All in us dollars

I don’t think it would be that much if $235K includes the BP.

Not too shabby in 12 months a profit like that.

There saying it didn't include it.. if it does just adjust the numbers to break even as its 28%

If the consignor paid no commission he got in the $185,000-$190,000 range.

The consignor probably bought it from Heritage to resell it. A market-savvy investor like that likely made a deal with Julien's to get full hammer price since it's such a valuable consignment.

Lucky guy! If only had a crystal ball.
