Hope I'm asking this in the right section...
I've recently bumped into this person's little collection of MJ sigs...
http://billiejean5809.deviantart.com/gallery/
My concern is that all those sigs look too similar... I'm thinking they're signed by the same person, but I'm stumped as to if they're really Michael.
Thank you for any opinions/help in advance.

Thank you for your very helpful and detailed reply. I am a huge fan of Michael's and spend 7 days a week trying to learn more about the man and all his work :) I posted this blue Mickey here primarily on the basis of the location of the star (above the M), as this related to a previous piece with a similar star location, discussed in this thread. I would be very grateful to be able to see other instances of MJs signature with the star placed elsewhere than at the end, as we usually see it. I am always very happy to learn about Michael and his writing and art.
I'm taking this comment back PARTIALLY. I still do not think the blue-Sharpie Mickey Mouse was made by Erick. But based on the evidence on page 9, I now think it's done by the hand that made the traced pictures on page 9. I do not think those were done by Erick. Nor do I think they were done by MJ.
Sorry to be flip-flopping, folks.... u know, new evidence and all... So yeah, it's fake after all. Woo. lol.
This is another authenticated Mickey, currently on sale here:

The top drawing (head, 1th Nov post) was 'passed' at a starting price of 2k usd at Heritage auctions in Dec 12.

More Ericks found online, this one from an old FB account of his. It is in triplicate, I only grabbed the first two copies of it, as the third shows nothing
Heres one Lizzie also previously posted that got zapped in error from me. I had posted on here my three links to my files on Ericks Deviant art, and then later decided it should be in the actual discussion at the top of the page, so that its easy to find on every page. Unfort, when I deleted the post in the thread, it took some of Lizzie's pics--I think she had replied to me on it. This came from Etsy Aug 2012 (I looked at the title of the pic, thanks for labeling them the way you do Lizzie-very helpful :)

I have a bit of a problem with many of the new items that are popping up that are supposedly drawn by Michael. I'm putting up just a few so that you might understand why. I'm putting the original item for sale, under those are clip-art or pictures/coloring book outlines, and then I layer one over the other so you can see that they were indeed traced. (click to enlarge if needed)
(from a coloring book - above)
getting a little tired here so my overlaps are getting a bit sloppy.
Michael was a fantastic artist and was already perfecting his skills as a child, I find it really hard to believe he would trace a photo or a coloring book and autograph it. There were others online but I figured that would be enough to warn people to do their homework. And these are traces, exact traces... not hand drawn. They line up perfectly.
BTW I am not blaming anyone here if they are 2nd hand sellers of these things - nor anyone if they gave these a thumbs up. I just think that the forgers are getting really good at selling a story.
Here are some of his childhood art photos...
and then what a Mickey looked like in later years
And some really extensive artwork as well
Sorry, but those are tracings. I also draw and there is no way to get to the exactness that is in these--one can get pretty close but not THIS close. You also need to account for the camera angle when the pictures were taken. If you are not in the exact spot that would be seen in the artwork and to size exactly, it would account for a very slight outline discrepancies. If you were slightly lower to the photo and not dead center--even just mm's, it can change what is seen when you overlay... it would make the bottom wider than the top. And if you were up higher than dead center--again even mm's, it would make the top wider slightly. Same with right and left of center.
These are all exact tracings. Elizabeth's eyes are EXACT as was her hair adornments and ear markings, earrings, down to the details... I was blown away when I pulled the drawing over her photo. Her eyes almost came to life because it almost looked 3 dimensional as I slid it into place. It was actually pretty cool.
I would double check with the person you got these from.

Just so that its mentioned here too, I know you try very hard to make sure you have good pieces--and I'm glad you have implemented rules to make that happen. I've also backed you up on this forum several times... in fact just about every time I've seen you mentioned, because I know you do try to make sure every pieces is legit. However, these are tracings imo, and I just can't sit back and not say anything.
