Michael Jackson drawings (Miscell inc. 'Historic portraits' and 'Disney characters')
I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures' or 'Disney characters'.
Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.

Not a drawing, but a photo with a message on the reverse - seemingly written & signed by the same person who created large numbers of fake MJ drawings offered for sale in the UK after 2009 (including the 'Smooth Criminal' fake MJ drawing above).
The message reads: 'To my fan and friend with all my love'. This photo is for sale on Etsy at £176.40

This is possibly one of the 'saddest' fake-MJ signed items I have seen offered on ebay.
The work of this forger had been comprehensively described by wascher some years ago, but an example still found its way on to a UK TV series called 'Four Rooms'. In this series, 'interesting' items were brought before four antique/ collectables dealers, and the seller invited each to make an offer to buy the item. (The 'jeopardy' being that the seller decided which dealer to approach in what order - behind closed doors- and not all dealers would make an offer. Ask too much, or refuse early offers, and no sale would be made).
This item was bought by a dealer in a TV show from the series aired in 2015. It seems that the dealer has now personally' authenticated' the item, and is re-selling it, asking £2k to start.
It is clear from the red 'COA' which originally accompanied the item (which is also fake-signed' by MJ), that this cannot be a genuine item. Unless of course someone considers that MJ was semi-literate, or employed semi-literate administrative staff. Maybe that speaks of buyers' poor opinions of MJ? That mindset seems quite insulting, to me.
Anyway, definitely a fake item and COA, and definitely to be avoided.

This comes with another document signed by Michael Jackson authenticating the product, so this is bidding for not one but two Michael Jackson signatures. This is also authenticated by esteemed antiques dealer Celia Sawyer and comes with a signed document confirming the message and signatures authenticity, and has been also authenticated by Channel Fours own providence team when this was presented on their antiques dealing show: Four Rooms. This is a very rare piece with not only one of his longest pillow messages, but TWO signatures and a signature from Celia Sawyer. Thank you.
