Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.
It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. Stephen Duncan has referred to this as a 'win-win' situation. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.
I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.
So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?
I got an order through yesterday that has since been cancelled. Anybody else?
I've just received my signed 'Star is Born' CD - but its not signed !?!
Im sure I read somewhere that the signed part would be sent out at later date - but now I can't find that info - did I read wrong?
It said the signed postcards would be sent at a later date
No, you read it right, it stated on the website the CDs would be despatched now and the Signed inerts would be sent at a later date.
My CDs have arrived today unsigned too.... I’m a bit concerned now as it no longer states Signed CD Inserts to arrive at a later date anywhere on the webpage... or order....
Thanks for confirming I’m not going mad.
I might call them next week to confirm - as the order and invoice says ‘order complete’.
Lesson learnt - always take a screenshot
Yes that’s true!
please let us know how you get on...
yes I do normally take screenshots... not this time though. I did google it - see top of photo attached, although as soon as you click on it, it says webpage not found ....A Star is Born Signed CD not available.....
Thanks for the info
I will get back to you once I know more...
Got wind of a potential issue with the Twenty One Pilots preorders (both Newbury and Amazon). One person mentioned they looked off. After doing a quick search of the preorders that fans were posting on Twitter, then comparing them with what fans were getting at Amoeba earlier this week, I'll concur than something looks way off.
