I like as much ink as possible, even if it's to someone else. I mean, where the Hell am I going to find a piece from anybody personalized, "To My Pal, Woody 2 Shoes. Lots of luck, and live 1000 years", right? I'll take what I can get! 8o)

A very large percentage of my collection compiled over almost 50 years are inscribed photographs, album pages and index cards. Personally I love having it inscribed to an individual with the more writing the better. I like it even better when I know the exact collection it came from. I agree the trend among younger collector's is certainly towards the "name only" it is not universal. I agree the trend among younger collector's is certainly towards the "name only" it is not universal. I also agree that while fewer inscribed autographs are probably forged (exceptions of big ticket items like Presley, Monroe, Beatles etc) a majority of secretarial autographs are personally inscribed.
True, the blurb text on the R…tag:live.autographmagazine.com,2017-10-28:3524372:Comment:11307832017-10-28T21:53:50.859ZEric Keith Longohttps://live.autographmagazine.com/profile/Eric947

Who is to say they would even have press stills from the Getaway on the set of the Getaway?

Press still tend to be released to the press when the film is expected to be coming out.....well after the shoot is over.

Show me any authenticated sample of Steve signing his "St" combo like that, from the time of that photo until his death and I will gladly apologize for questioning your opinion here.

The majority of collectors today don't care for inscriptions on their items. They care even less for items inscribed to someone else. That is a fact that inscription lovers have to deal with. Peter Cushing signed Star Wars 8x10s inscribed may get to the $2000 mark, but uninscribed can bring double or triple that figure. Timeframe, space and history are trumped by perceived value especially when it comes to future resale. If 8 or 9 of 10 collectors prefer uninscribed, the piece will sell far…

I have no choice but to agree with Teresa on that matter

That being said, the McQueens that this thread is talking about, posted by Linus and Carl do not match Steve's signatures from these timeframes. The S, the t, the heights of each letter, the baseline, the M, lack of c in Linus' sample, and the Q are formed unlike anything McQueen signed.

I don't believe that any TPA will be able to provide a single example to match these to, in order to authenticate them.
