I was alerted to a Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, and Barry Bonds triple signed baseball on eBay. Item # 361268034719 so I took a look and all three are OBVIOUS forgeries. His eBay ID is megsnbacon2014 - please take a look at all the forgeries he's selling, or already sold.

Then I recognized the COA name as a forgery seller, so just to make sure I Google "Play-Ball Authentics" and the results speak for themselves. This site alone has dozens of horror stories about all their expensive forgeries. Plus MANY other sites have very similar stories and nothing but forgery stories!!!

BTW- His triple signed baseball is the plastic MADE IN TAIWAN type that can be bought for $32-$5 each. Who would get these three players on a worthless ball that is known for fading autographs???

So I notified the seller with over 6,000 near PERFECT feedbacks. He was OBNOXIOUS, RUDE, and as IGNORANT as could possibly be! I told him to Google: Play-Ball Authentics, and gave him EVERY other reason why this baseball was a worthless TRIPLE forgery. He didn't listen to a word I said, he just wanted to argue until humans are extinct. He told me "eBay would have told me if there was a problem with this autograph. Are sellers really that stupid to think that eBay actually has an autograph expert examine every autograph put for auction/sale on eBay? It's only thanks to us on this site (more than any other) that autographs are examined for forgeries on eBay AT ALL for free and none of us get paid to do it! In fact, some of us get in TROUBLE for doing it (myself included, BUT I REFUSE TO STOP)???

I'm more and more strengthening my opinion that all PSA/DNA and Spence do is have someone (not their true experts) look at the autograph for a second, and if it looks anywhere near close to a real autograph: they deem it AUTOMATICALLY AUTHENTIC! So they are both completely useless at this point!

THERE ARE FAR TOO MANY PEOPLE SELLING OBVIOUS AUTOGRAPH FORGERIES ON EBAY WITH THIS SAME RIDICULOUS ATTIUDE!!!

Then these sellers expect to be pampered like I'm being paid big bucks to educate them regarding everything they SHOULD ALREADY KNOW before they ever think of selling any autographs!!! This all makes me literally sick to my stomach that this is allowed to continue and it's getting worse every week on eBay.

There are tens of thousands of "autographed" sports cards on eBay selling for the same price or MORE than Certified Autograph Inserts of the SAME PLAYERS that are 99.9%+ AUTHENTIC. People are buying these worthless autographs, usually on damaged cards too because who would risk the chance forging an autograph where they might make a mistake on a card that's worth a few dollars?

We all know eBay doesn't care UNLESS at least three different people call them, ASK FOR A TRUST & SAFETY SPECIALIST ONLY and tell them you are a member of this site and an autograph expert and you wish to report a forgery seller.

WE CAN HELP FIX THESE PROBLEMS, BUT WE HAVE TO GET INVOLVED THE RIGHT WAY!

James, I remember doing videos on Derek Jeter forgeries with COAs from Play-Ball Authentics.

http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/derek-jeter-autograp...

One of the tell-tale signs of a forgery seller is the immediate snarky remarks when you message them. You can tell they feel threatened (and are). Honest sellers do not do this. These sellers know damn well they are selling junk, and even worse they know damn well eBay isn't going to do ANYTHING about it...

I do have a friend I made helping Operation Bullpen (Tim Fitzsimmons), so I did tell this eBay jerk that I will notify my friend if he continues to act like this and sell forgeries with this attitude.

Suddenly he removed the Play-Ball triple "signed" baseball...

James

I found this site by doing a google search for “play ball authentics” and I’m wondering if EVERYTHING that has a play ball authentics hologram sticker on it is a fake, or is it a legitimate company?

I have NEVER observed one authentic autograph with their COA.

Everything I saw with their COA was pure garbage.
