Hey just asking a question....how many types of stickers does Psa/Dna use? I've seen both of these but are both the stickers that are currently being used and are they real? Thanks -Mike

You don't want to assume any authenticator's or dealer's sticker are good, unless they're being offered by a reputable source. Stickers can be duplicated--at least good enough to get by online. I'd always verify against their online database.

Good Point Steve,  recall the discussion on the coach's corner Babe Ruth ball that turned out to be an authentic PSA/DNA cert but the numbers provided misread the 1 as an I or was it the other way around.. Even Orlando commented on it - that just because it has a PSA/DNA sticker on it, doesn't necessarily mean it came from us.  And if it is not in their database they can research it to see if it should have been before you push the panic button.

and Travis is correct many of us like the "original" coke.

Thank you both for your help.
I have personally seen fake stickers.
Do the stickers peel off easy? I did not see or ask that?

John- In my experience with both of those stickers the red, white, and blue seem fine on just about any piece (ball, photo, bat)  The holographic one however starts to peel on the edges and crease over time.

On Ebay I've seen some of the stickers to the top that does not even coincide with their cert. database.  Almost every single one of the stickers that look holographic don't even appear on the database such as http://cgi.ebay.com/MICKEY-MANTLE-AUTO-SIGNED-AL-BASEBALL-PSA-DNA-J...  but before I bring up accusations that this guy is a fraud, I looked at his other items, most of which have the red, white, and blue sticker and every one of them came up on Psa/Dna's database

Mike p - I emailed their service to see what they can arrive at with regards to this item.

seems a mantle picture listed at j31845 and there doesn't appear to be any numbers registered prior to that upto 840 or following 845 as I went as far as 850 but no hits.  Will advise when I hear back.

Thanks DB!

Here is there initial response.  I have since inquired as to how do they determine that it is one of theirs....

Thank you for your email, I have forwarded this to PSA/DNA Operations and asked them to add this to our online database. Please allow approximately 2-3 business days for this information to appear on our website. If you need further assistance, please contact PSA Customer Service at (800) 325-1121.
