Real Or Fake: Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon" Signed by All 4?

Just saw this on eBay.

Very unusual to have a genuine signed LP by all 4 members. Says it was obtained at Syd Barrett memorial concert in 2007. No COAs.

What do you guys think?

Point taken Steve. Thank you for this Garry. I always wondered where all of these types of "completes" originated from in the UK. I realize the ratio is different because of the size of the countries, but there seems to be so much bad stuff on the UK site I hardly even glance now.

I put this down entirely to the lazy way in which ebay.co.uk police the site, because in a word they don't (OK, so that's two words!).

Recently the MetoplolitanPolice arrested this guy for selling fake signed books on ebay.

A good number of people had reported the seller (who had multiple ID's) for offering these fakes, i personally reported them every day for weeks, but they did nothing until the Police took charge. The same day he was arrested we reported other sellers for the same thing, did they do anything, no! I even mentoned the recent arrest, and suggested they use their common sense at least, as these sellers were offering Churchill signed items every week, we even wrote to them at their London HQ, but the items are still listed.

Believe me, ebay.co.uk is without doubt the most hopeless waste of space on the internet. There is simply no point in trying to even make contact with them, its as though there is nobody at home!

Garry.

I have to say -- I love the Gilmour signing his new release and not his old records. More people should do this. It cuts down on the ebay and sellers, and rewards the real fans.

When Ray Davies came to town -- I had all my old Kinks albums. I said to myself -- go buy his new CD. It was $18, but so what. I'd have him sign that first, and it would make the sting of old albums lesser for him. And he signed the CD, then the old albums. Worked wonderfully -- and let's the artist know you're a fan and not a seller.

Airing -- regarding the venue, I stand by what I said. If somebody has a band signed album, and they merely give you a date and concert venue they got it at, 90% of the time they are full of bull.

Some of the Floyd related sites are pretty detailed about trying to meet David, Roger, & Nick.  Waters left the show early and didn't perform with the other 3, so it's possible a few people did get his autograph. I think the only people who got to meet PF were the musicians playing that night. There's no fan photos of anyone getting anything signed at that show, and when we live in a time when everything gets on camera, it would've surfaced the next day.

Best time to have met Gilmour was  the About Face tour, and Roger on the past few tours has signed all sorts of stuff for fans. I do think some people were able to get David & Roger to sign Nick Mason's book, and I think people who were able to go to the Pulse DVD promotion got some autographs that night.
