Source of Forged Music Memorabilia Pretending to be Autograph Pros - Beware of AutographPros.biz

Company pretending to be AutographPros.com is tricking people into buying forgeries.

Came across this Craigslist posting, thought it would be of interest to those who collect music memorabilia as you have no doubt seen these items around the past few years as I have.

Here is the link and in case the posting gets taken down I have copied the text out below.

Mike,

Really appreciate this warning. As soon as read the content above, I knew there was something not right. Just to let you know that there have been ads in the Asbury Park Press in NJ this week, which after responding to the phone number and some discussion and E-mail back and forth, I was directed to www.theautographpros.com  which turns out to be the same website referenced in the link above. One thing that also had me wondering, the website addresses after linking to the website do not include www in the file name, isn't that a potential red flag?

So it is not just happening in Arizona. I plan to get in touch with the Asbury Park Press tomorrow morning and give them a heads up. I had called the REAL AutographsPros.com earlier this evening and just got a phone call back from them; apparently they are in the process of talking legal action against that bogus company. You did a great service in bringing this to others attention. Thanks for the heads up.

Howard

Howard - glad it was useful information.  They post these craigslist and newspaper listings all over the country, it is definitely not tied to any one state.  I'm also certain they operate from more than one URL since they probably get continually shut down or flagged.  So whether it is autographpros.biz or theautographpros.com, the website may change but the bogus material is all the same.

Autographpros.com should definitely take legal action, they have the best chance of shutting these guys down, or at least setting them back a hefty sum of money.
