All right guys....something a little different....here are a few examples of Joe Dimaggio signatures...some are authentic...some are not...some of these are from on line sites...some of these are are from my PC...and one of these I know was signed in person from one of my buddies collections...

Which ones do you guys feel are authentic and why ?...as you can see almost all of these autos are not even close to being the same...which makes which the real Mccoy ?...please feel free to leave comment on what you guys feel are good and or bad and why do you feel so with the # of the photo...I know there has been lots of Mantle threads on here but I think its now time a Joe Dimaggio thread should be started on to what they look like and what we should stay away from...and what characteristics should be looked out for in purchasing an authentic Dimaggio...

Please post any Joe Dimaggio photos you have or any information regarding the "Yankee Clipper" that you may be able to help share on the education on one of the most unpredictable auto styles of one of Americas Icons...

Here's a great early version of one of my team signed balls with the clipper on the sweet spot...I got to check but I am thinking its circa 1940s...I also got to check the cert...PSA I believe its on there...anyway this just shows a great example of how the clippers style was much more "Bubbly" then his later style

Signed Rawlings photo ball.

Mike is this part of your collection?  if so is it a recent addition?  has it been authenticated?

I'm pretty sure the estate sold a number of the signed photo balls... however they were signed in blue ballpoint if I recall correctly.

Hey Mike...I think that ball NOT be authentic...the letter formations are terribly off...is it authenticated ?

TYPO....MAY NOT BE AUTHENTIC

It is part of my collection, had it for awhile. I have some other Joe D. stuff Ill post later

Only Dimaggio I have. I haven't had this authenticated. Pretty sure its good.

WOW....THAT BAT IS NICE....

I could be wrong, but this may have been signed through Scoreboard. I vaguely recall reading about the bat signing he did with them and it may have been the 1941 limited edition.

Joe D really put the screws to Scoreboard. They paid him big $$$ to sign, and after he fulfilled his obligation and collected the dough, he turned around and signed for less with other dealers and at shows. Scoreboard was left with a ton of stock they had to sell at breakeven or a loss.

sweet.......I have not seen many of these 1941 pieces!

alright...the "Lowly Mantle Collector & sometime Dimaggio Collector" will chime in with the ones I have accumulated. Upon inventory, it appears I have 3 single signed balls and a bunch of assorted pics. Here's a few for your inspection. I certainly feel they are all authentic. What do you all think?
