Thought I'd share this one I found while searching for Jane Curtin events to complete my SNL season 1 signed vinyl. I got sidetracked hunting down what was available on the secondary market and came across this for $99 last month. Ive been spending so much lately that I had to pass on a few other great items recently but couldn't pass this up, also signed by Joeseph Gordon levitt who I have always wanted to add as well.. funny thing is, I still need to find Jane in person. Both are pretty tough signatures. Plus, who doesn't love 3rd Rock? Lol. Its another script I get to add of my favorite shows.
With all the conversation about secretarial, autopen, and downright forgeries, for me, there is nothing like the thrill of getting an in person autograph. Is there a separate thread for these? There should be.
Last night I got Jon and Hugo from Gang of Four at a book signing and Cheetah Chrome at a Dead Boys concert! What a night! Especially love that Cheetah used my ballpoint pen, for a nice clear sig.
That is very attractive. I had to look the subject up as I don't know anything about that area, but bold and a known signing date is always good. You have my vote! I love that you mentioned the illustrator. I always try to mention the photographer of the stills I collect.
That leads me to this - my latest acquisition. My 5th(?) Bankhead (always upgrading) and the only still from Lifeboat I have ever seen signed by Tallulah Bankhead in 1945. Newly found fata - the still photographer was Frank E. Hughes. It was trimmed ages ago, like my Gleason SP, and all things considered that is OK by me. I hope you like it! This was a key book still from Lifeboat, repurposed for the play Foolish Notions in 1945 and that is when this signature dates to.

Thanks Eric !!! Naoya Inoue is one of the top pound for pound boxer presently. He mainly fights in Tokyo. This was his 4rd fights in USA. Jyogi Morikawa is a Japanese manga author known for the long-running series Hajime no Ippo. This issue was sold out immediately when it was released in Sept 2019. I always wanted a copy for my collection and was thrilled that this was signed in Las Vegas in his recent fight. Nice and bold signature !!! Love it !!!!!
Excellent! In the end, the Bankhead was not trimmed (just 9" x 8" with margins), and I wound up getting it for $60! It was signed in February of 1945 for the three children of an employee at the Colonial Theatre in Boston during the two week tryout for "Foolish Notions."
