Rick,
I was going to let you have a ride in obamas jeep but now I am afraid you will kick the bumper or something!

Thanks Rick. I am a basketball fanatic and all my boys play. We lost last night but got to see my little guy pop a 3 pointer from way downtown in the face of a 6 foot defender. There is only one guy I know that talks trash about me. I love the relationships I have formed in this business, certainly including you. PADA is a great organization, I should know because I help to conceive it. I have no resentment whatsoever about not being involved in the last 13 years . I consider virtually every member an esteemed colleague and many are dear friends. We just have gone different directions. I only do a few shows a year because of family commitments. The Antiquarian Booksellers Association is an organization that I consider to be the pinnacle in our trade as far as credentials and exhibitions. It is near impossible to join and has the strictest code of ethics in just about any collectible field. I have been a member for 17 years now .

People who say disparaging things about John Reznikoff do NOT really know him. I have known John for over 20 years and have never seen him represent something other than what it is. And, out of the many things I have framed for John and his clients, I have never observed any misrepresented items. For John to have to resign form PADA amazes me. If he were that bad, he would have been tossed out of ABAA. The guy has been part of the reason for the success of the industry. He knows his stuff, and he is a great marketer. He handles great material (except Obama's car) He is very successful and I see the people who attack him are just simply jealous. And allegations of him being pompous are false. The guy is is very busy balancing a life of a business and family. There are times I call him and he is busy shuffling kids to Basketball or other scholastic events. It says a lot about someone and his character who puts his family first.

Roger,
I knew he pulled the same kind of stunt on you with some phonied up albums. I never paid any heed to it nor did anyone I know. After about 1 paragraph it just seemed like some rambling illiterate mess. I dont think the drible on his site is good enough to qualify as Sunday Funnies in a newspaper. Maybe a tongue and cheek farce in some student run junior high school paper

And yet another fully signed INXS guitar from the same business Backstage Autographs (owner C Lancaster a UACC member apparently) bought from a collection in the US...wow, how lucky, 2 in 2 weeks. Can't wait for next week........

Thanks Roger, I would have passed this by you though I had limited time at the time.

You are correct, that is an awful forgery.

This item was recently listed (and sold) in Australia by a business called Backstage Autographs of whom any information cannot be found. From their 'COA' I tracked back to the vendor whose name and details and email address I have and who purports to be a UACC member.
I contacted them and was advised " This wonderful item was bought from a collection in the USA and comes with Cert of Authenticity from Backstage Autographs Australia as well as the original cert of Authenticity from the USA which has been verified as well. The information we have is that it was signed in early October 1979 on the last tour of the USA between the Knoxville and Atlanta venues"
I asked them if they could provide any details of the US Authenticators, and I am still awaiting a reply from April 13th.
They also had an INXS Michael Huthence signed guitar with the rest of the band for sale at the same time.
I asked a gentleman who has over 30 years association with AC/DC in a professional, social and business capacity and who in fact has specialised in Bon Scott singatures for over 20 years. Immediately the predicted answer was given that is was a fake.
His response was "The image that you attached of the autograph is a prime example of fraudulent autographs being passed off as authentic. This type of practice is common, and unfortunate, as the unsuspecting buyer is often fooled by the dealer providing "COA" (Certificate of Authenticity), when the reality of the matter is that a COA is not worth any more than the paper it is printed on.
I instantly can tell that this is a fake, and a poor one at that. Both the Bon AND the Angus signatures are fraudulent on this item"
Some poor individual paid over AUD$2000 for this item in the belief that it was genuine. In any case I recall a post from another member here asking about Bon Scott Signatures.......this is one business to avoid.
I just love the wording on their 'COA's' that states - "According to the accepted principles of the Autograph Industry we guarantee that this item has been authenticated & was signed in person & is not a copy or reprint of the artists signature" How reassured I felt after reading that. Anyway, pics are attached of this 'ultra rare' piece of AC/DC 'memorabilia'.

Jeff,

I looked at a few of our examples and I agree, it's secretarial. Sorry for the disappointment. He loves theater. Why don't you heck for his upcoming play schedule and mail in-venue? Go here: http://www.matthewbroderick.net/

Hey, Steve. I got this through the mail. I uses the address P.O. Box 69646, Los Angeles, CA, 90069, that I got out of the October, 2009, issue of Autograph Magazine. Now the addresses I used for Ed Asner, Ann Blyth, and Lauren Bacall from that same October, 2009, issue worked just fine, as the index cards I got back from all of those individuals passed with no problem.
