Not sure if this is where I should post this or not, but I do have a lot of autographed Nascar trading cards that were obtained in person at Michigan Speedway in the early to mid-90's. I'm open to…Continue

Talladega weekend was a great weekend for me autograph wise. I got Kasey Kahne Friday (Oct. 30) at Academy Sports + Outdoors. I got my diecast, trading card, and 2 photos signed. On Sunday Nov.1) at the racetrack I got Kurt Busch, Robby Gordon, Paul Menard, and David Reutimann. Kurt signed a diecast, David signed a diecast, Robby signed a pic, and Paul signed 2 pics and a trading card. All in all a great weekend!

I'm a Harvick fan as well. Kevin's site does sell signed items (with NO mark-up in price), but Kevin also signs items sent to him. I think you're allowed 2 items per year/per mailing address. It takes a couple of months or so to get them back, but it's still a great alternative if you can't make it down to the track.

Most drivers also sign through their website. I'm a Kevin Harvick fan and he sells things signed through his site, as do all the RCR drivers.

Dale Jr, and some of the others are not as easy, but most are...

Living here in indy, if you go to the track you can get all the drivers. You can go into the garage's if you have pit passes, and since my company has a suite there, i always go every yr to the pit, to the garage area to get stuff signed. I also go to any of the community days and all drivers do at least ONE public signing in the area before the race. Keep up on things and they are back during off weeks as most have office's here.

SUPER I'm glad the sheet metal sigs are real!
For $10 I was shocked to find it that cheap.
I know for a fact I saw race used sheet metal at the Glen...unsigned for a LOT more than $10!
Thanx for the clairification about Petty....makes perfect sense and I never thought of that.

The sheet metal is REAL and it is NICE!!

as far as Richard Petty goes, Richard has pretty bad hands,...At times he simply can't sign a car while his hands hurt...His rushed in-person sigs are getting pretty bad not as tight as they used to be.

Also, richard likes to sign cars especially nice. so, it could be that he knew he would ruin it..Many times, I have heard him tell people this and asks them to mail it to him.

Wow what a find I got from today's local Craigs list!
Here is what the listing said...

NASCAR Sheet Metal-Autographed - $10

"Sheet metal from the Stacker 2 NASCAR driven by Kenny Wallace. Signed by Kenny and his crew cheif Philepe Lopez. Bid on it at a silent auction to get my girl going. Worked, she was pissed. Imagine how pissed she was when I actually one it! It's been sitting in my garage since then. Cleaning up so it's up for sale. Would make a great gift for any NASCAR fan."

I couldn't help but grab it!!

I know I was lucky to have the king earlier this yr sign for me at dover for the track walk. got him to sign on the roof a kyle petty car from 08. usually he will sign for people but I guess he had other things to do. don't mind me asking but did the king sign other cars or not. if he did sign other cars then hey I guess then he must not have liked you. but if he didn't sign other cars then don't this wrong but why get upset. I bet a lot of fans didn't get it. believe me that happened to me with Rusty wallace. Him and his son were signing in PA for that race show that is now in Atlantic city and believe me he was signing abit after was about to get his autograph on his last call hero card when some guy next to me with his kid said hey rusty what about the kid. leaned over to the kid signed it and took off. believe me and the wife were upset that night. But believe me I had a great make up one night back in 07 when ESPN was doing the races and caught up with rusty at a eating place I was told about. got rusty to sign and have a photo with him. believe me I was happier then a pig in Poop that night. I used to say like mark martin said about the championship if god wanted me to have one I would have gotten one by now. believe me you'll get it when you least expect it. I'll tell you a quick one about the glen. while everybody was looking at the inspection process me and the wife were near the goodyear hauler and kevin harvick walks by said hey kevin turned waved and nobody was around us. if I had a card could have had him sign it then but I didn't so I'll take the wave as a thanks.

Well I tell ya I was pretty upset after the Glen!
First time and probably the last time in my life I had a chance to meet Richard Petty in person.
Well I took this RCCA Elite 1979 Daytona 500 Winner to get signed

When it came time for Him to leave after His Q&A session.....evryone converged for a autograph. He looked at my car 3x and passed it over!!
I was REALLY upset......couldn't believe it. Even the Guy in front of me that was a lil taller tried. Richard wouldn't touch it.
We kinda figured that He saw it was a top dollar car and wouldn't sign it cuz I mighta been ebay hunting.
That was THE race that really got me into NASCAR (1975 Daytona 500).
Really disappointing......still feel like crap about it.
