Another really nice mail day. I got the autograph of Georgia Tech All-American and PGA tour pro, Tripp Isenhour. Tripp was an All-American at Georgia Tech in 1990, and had a nice pro golf career. He won 4 Nationwide Tour events, both the Trinidad Open and Kansas Open in 1998, and made the cut at 3 U.S. Open tournaments in 2001, 2004, and 2007. He not only signed my 1991 Georgia Tech Collegiate Collections card I had of him, but also personalized and signed a BEAUTIFUL 8x10! What a classy guy! Many thanks, Mr. Isenhour!
Hey guys, let me bounce this off of you all and please give me your thoughts. I was talking to a autograph collecting buddy of mine, and he said, "I would never insult anybody by asking them to sign just a blank postcard. Asking them to sing something less than a picture or a trading card would be an insult." I regularly send blank 3x5 post cards through the mail because pictures are expensive (to me anyway,) and I sometimes don't have a trading card of the person. What do you all think? Do you think celebrities, personalities, and important figures feel insulted by the blank index card autograph request?
I do the same thing jeffrey! Unless i have a trading card of the person to send to. Alot of times a get a bonus as well. For the most part i do not think they care but there are a few that will not.
I was wondering does anyone have a good address for jennifer garner.I got my picture with her on her latest movie and would love to send it to her to sign. Thanks
I got TTM from Paul Comi, Paula Prentiss, and Don Baylor today. July has been my best month this year. It had been a very slow year. The thing is the successes are a mix of very recent requests and requests that I sent 9 months to a year ago.
Today's mail brought me the autograph of former baseball outfielder, Ricardo Ingram. Riccardo was an All-American at Georgia Tech, the 1987 ACC Player of the Year, and helped guide the Yellow Jackets to 3 straight ACC Championships from 1985-1987. He was a pretty fair football player at Georgia Tech, too, playing safety on their 1985 All-American Bowl team. Later, Riccardo would go on to play for the Tigers and Twins in the major leagues.
i have to agree with you jeffery. i always send something for them to sign when i can. whether it be a card, or a cd sleeve and dvd cover. even my blanks are customs after next month so i am holding off on sending them. i will be hopfully starting a job at blockbusters videostore near me . if i do i am going to talk to the manager about their shelf cards. these are great for signing and would be a unique item to send. they are like little movie posters , just very rigid and durable so they will hold up too todays postal standerds.
Jeff, I agree with you and Darrel....believe me if they were insulted they wouldn't sign. I always include blank 3"x5"s even if I'm sending a card if nothing else but for a filler and most of the time they also come back signed. The same goes for in person autographs, I've never had anyone refuse to sign a blank 3"x5".
its been a long time but i started doing the old S.A.S.E action as a yankee fan I have been very successful in the past but stopped over the last 4-5 years...any way this is what I got for the man Don Larsen for a nominal fee...cool stuff...if anyone has or had any luck with the yankees feel fell to contact me ... thanks
Today's mail brought me the autograph of Jeff Wickersham, former LSU quarterback from 1982-1985. Jeff was a tremendous big game quarterback. LSU was able the beat USC and Notre Dame, both games on the road, during his time as the starting quarterback. He was played the quarterback for the Denver football team in the 1988 Dennis Quad film, Everybody's All-American. He not only signed the LSU Collegiate Collections card that I sent him, but also sent a signed and personalized 8x10 action shot of that upset victory over USC from 1984! What class!
I got an autograph ttm from atticus shaffer of the middle today. I also finally got a listia win consisting of an autograph of the veronicas. On the way back from a family trip, i found signed used books from pat robertson, michael hoeye but my biggest finds were signed books from wil wheaton who played on star trek the next generation and alan young of the mr. ed fame.
The incredible good fortune continues; today's mail brought me the autograph of former NFL quarterback, Brad Johnson. Brad played for the Vikings, Redskins, Buccaneers, and Cowboys during a fantastic 17-year career. But it was with the Buccaneers he had most of his success, as he guided them to a win in Super Bowl XXXVII.
I got a couple of more Listia auctions in today. First is a signed copy of Destiny of the Divas by Ernie Johnson. Secondly is a couple of pictures for my brother's birthday present. Signed 8x10s of Clay Aiken and Josh Gracin. Its nice to get something signed in the mail, but I would kind of like to get some ttms also!
I ususally don't use the term "epic". I feel that it has been tossed around so much in recent years that the word has lost all of its meaning. I will , however, use it to describe today's epic Listia win! I received a signed , color, 8x10 of Conway Twitty! I have always wanted his autograph and I never thought that I would eve be able to add one to my collection, until I saw this one! It was signed at Fan Fair in the 80s and is a great headshot of the greatest troubador of all time! Thanks to JSLee for posting it!
Congrats on the conway twitty auto russ! i saw him in concert back in the late 80s on tour with george jones. Even though i did not get to meet him afterwords for an auto, he is still one of the all time greats who crossed over to other many music charts.
I do not remember the addesses for hulk exactly but it is the one out of florida and radcliffe one is out of new york where he is doing a play. I cannot get a picture up sorry. But the radcliffe looks authentic!
This week's TTM was a great. I got a very nice signed trading card of Pro Football Hall of Famer, Steve Largent. Then, I got a very nice inscribed LSU trading card of football coaching legend, Paul Dietzel, that said, "Best Wishes, Jeffery Kite, God bless you," but he did not sign his name. Guess he forgot, or was politely declining to sign an autograph, which is perfectly OK. And finally, I got a really nice signed trading card of Pro Football Hall of Famer, Dan Hampton, and some autographs from former Georgia Tech All-American golfer and Golf Channel personality, Charlie Rymer. Charlie not only signed my Georgia Tech card I have of him, but also sent along an ALS and a signed 5x7! Class act by a classy guy.
Got another one today. Got a signed Georgia Tech trading card of former Tech coach, Bobby Ross. Bobby was one of the very best coaches Georgia Tech has ever had. He guided the 1990 Yellow Jackets to a victory over Nebraska in the Citrus Bowl that season and a share of the National Championship.
Shop TNA had a deal last week where they would send you 12 random autographs for $39.99. I took them up on the deal and in the customer comments section I asked if they would bplease send me a Hulk Hogan as I have been a fan of his for many years and I have never been able to get an authentis signature of him. I also asked them to please not send me sigs of Jeff Jarret as I have plenty of those from past deals. I get my package in the mail today and who is the first guy I see? JEFF FREAKIN' JARRETT!!! Really TNA? What good is a customer comment box if you're not going to read the comment?
I also got :
Samoa Joe - yuck!
Scott Steiner
Gunner
Sarita
Velvet Sky - again. But you really can't have too many Knockouts!
Brian Kendrick - Yawn!
Abyss - again
Beer Money - The best one of the lot!
Crimson - Cool.
Mr. Anderson - again
Shannon Moore - Really?
So, I got 13 autographs for $50 shipped. I knbew that it was a gamble going in. I did all right for the most part. They could have at least sent me a Hogan and kept the Jarrett though!
received a form letter from Julie Andrews assistant today. In the letter it states that due to her age Julie no longer signs requests, it also stated "if you included photos for Julie to sign they are being returned to you as these are copyrighted materials and it is illegal for her to sign them" huh? Illegal? what is THAT all about. It also stated "Julie does care about her fans and not having an autopgraphed photo to send to them makes her sad. Unfortunatelly, at this time, Julie does not own signing rights to a current pose" (I never knew one had to have a "signing right" to sign a photo) enclosed with the form letter was a 4" x 6" b&w photo. (seems she has a "mailing right" for that photo however. All in all, a weird response I thought.
My family and i went on a road trip while finding some autographs. At a flea market i found two signed albums by eddie money and jayne kennedy. But my favorite autograph was when we visited the dayton air force museum and getting a signed photo of paul a tibbets the pilot of the enola gay for 20 bucks was a great deal!Sorry to hear about the julie andrews.
Boy, people on some other sites are such pompus, arrogant s.o.b.s! They get all bent out of shape if you don't post an address with your ttm successes. They always act as if they have never been ripped off by a celeb or mail order company, and take it out on the guys that do. Well, I'm sorry that I don't have time to go dig out addresses all of the time. I do have other things to do besides thier research! I don't mind helping out if someone needs an address, but I don't see where its my responsibility to build a collection for all of the lurkers that just leech successes and never contribute! The same goes for my TNA post. Everyone wants to jump on my case because I complained about getting yet another Jeff Jarrett and a number of the same guys that I have gotten before. I understand that I can't pick and choose, but I would like a little variety! Especially since I am shelling out my hard earned money for it!
@ Brandon. It would be nice if more people would post pictures. It is cool to see what people got in the mail, but I simply don't have the time to do it. What I like the most about this group is the fact that we don't feel obligated to post addresses or pictures and there really is no drama at all. It is a pretty laid back group. I have seen some of the heated discussions recently on the IP group and I, myself, would prefer that drama stay over there.

Hogan used to send out secretarial signatures when he was in WCW....I would love to see if this has changed.
I'm anxious to see if the DR is authentic too.
Why don't you show both of these and give the addresses you used as well?
