Received this nice heart felt letter from Ms.Gil McDouglad today...I sent this some time ago but when I found out he passed away I couldn't believe it...my book wasn't updated and I wound up sending it but then found out he passed away after the fact...I am going to write a nice response letter back...

Also got a RTS from Rudy May....REALLY !?!??! RUDY MAY...I think I need a new updated book because it seems like the RTS's I am receiving are really adding up....I started writing to lesser known players to get more responses I think the new book has a couple thousand updates...that may be my best bet...

Yes Russ...I am going to have to get the new book because I am really striking out a lot and not because players are not signing...but because the addresses are not good...I do have the post card as well...I need the new list...this is getting ridiculous...

If you are looking for sports lists the best source is Harvey Meiselman.  Harvey has new lists every year for Football, Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, Golf, US Olympians, Men/Woman of Distinction, and MInor League Baseball.  Not only do you get the list with sections that include whether or not they are HOFer's both College or Pro, people who charge a fee and what that fee is, but he will also email you updates of bad addresses, address changes, deaths, and known failures a couple of times a year.  You can read about his lists at www.sportsaddresslists.com. 

Another good source is www.sportscollectors.net.  It is a free site but to really get the value you need to pay a yearly fee of $14.95

Another awesome RTS to report today...it is now safe to say that I may have to get the new list before I keep waiting money on items getting sent to unknown addresses...OR my awesome mail man is fully aware of what I am doing and leaving the useless RTS envelopes in my mail box...

Another guys...I am going to be trying something totally new to me...I am calling ti my Child Hood Icons project based circa 1980's...movie/television actors...musicians....all realms outside of baseball...I am still going to be doing baseball but if any of you guys have any ideas or addresses to share it would be much appreciated....thanks a bunch....CG

I actuall got a ttm success today! The first one since last Saturday! I received 2 of 2 signed baseball cards by former Brewers shortstop Bill Spiers!

Hey Cee Gee, wanna try for Ed Asner? Ed is a fantastic actor that has done TV, movies, and voice acting in many cartoons, especially in the 1970's and 1980's. I wrote to him a couple of years ago when I found out he did voice on one of my favorite childhood cartoons, Johnny Quest. I got a fanpack from purdue university including an autograph from head football coach danny hope by email. Also another autograph but cannot make it out and from listia got autograph of orlando bloom.

I ended the mail week on a bitter sweet note. I received a response from Nascar driver Clint Boyer. He returned one card unsigned, signed one card on the back, didn't return another, and signed one card correctly on the front. 1 out of 4 is better than none. I'll just try to get my other card signed at the track next year, maybe. Boyer is kind of a jerk in person. The card signed on the back will no doubt end up on listia for a few credits.

Another RTS today...wow...just purchased about 12 glossies and some commons since it seems like when I start to hit this slow down I have to pump more out there...really didn't want to do that since Xmas is coming and I got to stop spending money on TTM's that are not coming back...Going to try to pump out as much as I can this month...hope you guys have a better mail day then I have been having...

I got my mail today, which was soaked from the rain! Luckily, the mailman was smart enough to tuck my sase inbetween the bills, so there was no damage done! I got a ttm success from, WWE Hall of Famer, Jim Ross!

Today's mail brought me the autograph of World Golf Hall of Famer, Gene Littler. "Gene the Machine" was a legend on the PGA Tour, and was the 1961 U.S. Open champion.

.really hoping I don't reach a double digit streak...2 more mail days this week...Friday and Saturdays are usually my best days for what ever reason...I AM KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED...Would hate to hit a 2 week dry spell...

Today, I got back my 11x14 litho of all 9 living 300 game winning pitchers in baseball history through 1999, with the last signature I needed to get, being that of Hall of Famer, Don Sutton. I got through the recent autograph show that MAB Celebrity Services put on, and man, is it a beauty now that it is all finished!!!

Today's mail brought me the autographs of PGA Tour legend, Miller Barber, and 1961 American League All-Star outfielder, Tito Francona. The Tito Francona was on a father-son card from the 1985 Topps set, so now I need to find a good address for his son Terry to finish it off.
