I usually don't post failures, but since this one has been the topic of conversation.......got a failure on Ralph Kiner today! I don't know what the trick is with him. David, Chris, please e-mail me your secret. I can't seem to figure this one out.

  • Jeffery Kite

And this time, he sent the card back unsigned in my SASE. Not sure what I did or what I didn't do.

  • David Jackson

Took me 4 trys Jefferey but he never opened the envelope till he signed for me.  Not sure why he didnt sign yours but opened it?  Was it the florida address?  Thats where my 1 success came from.

  • Jeffery Kite

Yeah, it's the FL address. Di you send him any money? I didn't. Maybe I should.

  • Russ Robinson

  • David Jackson

@ jefferey, nope I didnt send him any money. Only a letter and a SASE.  I think he just doesnt like to sign TTM anymore or maybe one of his "handlers" is TTM blocking.  I know some people even wrote "donation enclosed" on the outside of the envelope and he never even opened them.  So for him to have even opened your letter is a surprise.  I truly did not expect he would ever sign for me.  maybe he got tired of refusing my letters, lol.  I wasnt even gonna write him again, but I think it was you who encouraged me to keep trying.  That was gonna be my last try and amazingly he signed.

Im still inspired you got Musial to sign a card.  Id like one too, but since he just signed a ball for me im not gonna try and get greedy.

  • CEE GEE

Russ...always love seeing you crush it bro...hope your feeling better as well my friend...Jeff...I have to admit Dave has got a minimum of 5 or 6 guys back in the last few months that denied me...I got Ralph that one time...I sent him again...its the picture of me and him I got last time I seen him...I actually added a check in my package since he been so tough latley so if I get him back I would say that would be the only reason...plus I made mention how I would never sell a picture of me with him signed any way...will see...its been about 10 days now...who knows...I have about 80 pending so iam just sitting back and waiting...plus at least another 5 for cash request so those should be coming back soon since the Slash is the only one I got back in 2012 that I didn't pay for...will see
  • CEE GEE

    Great stuff Fredric....nice dude

  • Jeffery Kite

Thanks guys. I'm going to keep trying to get Mr. Kiner. I'll get another letter out to him next week.

  • Russ Robinson

As my good buddy, CEE GEE would say, I totally crushed it today! I got 5 packages! Unfortunately, I got a R.T.S. from, adult film star, Victoria Paris. I did add a new card to my Walleye collection as I got, assisstant coach, Dan Watson. I also got Viacheslav Fetisov to sign 5 of 5 for me. Greg Berg, the voice of Donatello, signed 5 of 5 classic TMNT cards. Finally, I got a sweet signed pic of Jarrod and Brandi from Storage Wars. They didn't send back the card decoys I sent, but I am very happy with this pic! Great mailday!

  • Jeffery Kite

Finally, I can get in on all this crushing going on around here! I got 2 of 2 from Pro Football Hall of Famer, Nick Buoniconti. Nick was an All-American at Notre Dame in 1961 as a defensive tackle. He switched to linebacker his rookie season with the Patriots in 1962, and helped head up that great undefeated Miami Dolphins team in 1972. He was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. He signed a 1990 Notre Dame Collegiate Collections card, and a 1990 Pro Set Super Bowl Supermen card for me. Super stoked about this one!

  • David Jackson

Russ, I love the turtles cards! I was big into them growing up!  Brandi is hot as usual, and I was surprised to see jarrods signature is more than just an "X", lol. I keed, I keed.

Jeffery, congrats on the sick return man!

  • CEE GEE

Russ & Jeff...glad to see you guys doing some more TTM crushing...I figured since I sent about 25-28 last week I would have got 4 or 5 quick returns...but nothing for me...maybe today...will see...I see Rollie Fingers cashed my check so that one shall be coming back soon...

Russ also love the turtle returns...I used to be big on the original Eastman and Lairds versions back in the day....where the turtles where more assassin types and actually  used there weapons to kill and cut limbs off...still liked the cartoon version as well but if people knew where the original stories stemmed from that would be floored...

Also big fan of Storage Wars...Although those shows are so staged I still love watching them...Love seeing Brandi's Cans...there quite spectacular !!!!

  • David Jackson

Just back today in 6 days, original 1951 Bowman rookie card signed graciously by Bobby Shantz.  I love how on the card his name is misspelled "Schantz".   CEE GEE is to blame for my wild spending frenzy on these vintage cards.  He got me hooked. Thanks buddy. lol.

  • CEE GEE

LOOKS GOOD BRO....GOING TO SEE BOBBY NEXT WEEK....CANT WAIT....VERY NICE !!!!

  • Robert Babb

I got an autograph from actress babara barrie today!

  • CEE GEE

Got a weak ass pre print from Peyton Manning today...I guess I missed that train of free autos...he was pumping out TTM autos for like a year...oh well...no biggie...hopefully I will get some thing good in later tonight...

  • CEE GEE

I sent Tony Kubek a card with a check and I get a letter in the mail telling me today he will just send it back unopened....really !?!?!?!?!...If this happens I am going to be quite pissed off...my previous request was sent un opened...I don't know how the hell he is going to know there is payment in there...I need him for my 58 set

  • Jeffery Kite

Is it just me, or does it seem like to everyone else that the hardest autographs to collect in the area of sports are those of baseball players? Sure does seem that way to me. Today, the mail brought me the autograph of World Golf Hall of Famer, Billy Casper. Billy was one of the greatest golfers on the PGA Tour, and is 7th on the all-time wins list. He won the U.S. Open in 1959 and 1966, then followed those up with a Master's championship in 1970.

  • Russ Robinson

Today was a good mailday for me. First, I got my Georgia Bulldogs card back from Mark Richt.  And, just when I thought it was safe to go back to the mailbox, I got Sharkboy!

  • Robert Babb

Nice russ!  Do not forget the shark repellent lol!

  • Robert Babb

I got a return to sender from dean malenko. Also got autographs ttm from jennifer lawrence and lynn anderson today!

  • Jeffery Kite

Whatever happened to Shark Boy? He was one of my favorites and pretty good comic relief for TNA.

  • CEE GEE

I got a denied request from Monte Irving today with a very decent price guide so I will be sending that back out there...also I got my first TTM from spring training today from Rookie sensation Ramiro Pena...very happy to get one back since they have been very slow in the collecting community...will post a pic Monday...
  • Robert Babb

I think shark boy is semi retired jeffrey! He was both a wrestler and referee.  He lives in ohio and does still  wrestles once in a while.

  • Russ Robinson

Finished off the mailweek with a couple of nice successes! This gives me ttm success for 12 consecutive maildays! First, I got 3 of 4 from George Pataki. I'm going to send the one with Giuliani to Rudy for signing! I also got 2 of 2 from WWE Legend Ivan Putski on some vintage WWF cards.

  • David Jackson

great successes Russ!  Zip for me today.

  • Fredrik Nyman

Yesterdays return....Tracey Eddon, Carrie Fischer Stuntdouble in 'Return of the Jedi'

  • CEE GEE

Finally got my first TTM form spring training on Saturday in 12 days...Ramiro Pena...hope to get some more in this week...I am at about 2 weeks with about 25 out there so I think I may be able to get some in this week...or even today...will see guys....

  • David Jackson

    Very nice CEE GEE!!

  • David Jackson

5 day return.  A great guy and amazingly great handwriting at 94 years young. Virgil Trucks signed original 1951 bowman, and gave me another card signed from when he played for the A's in 1956.  Great guy.

  • Robert Babb

I got an awsome autograph ttm from actress sally kellerman

  • CEE GEE

    very sweet guys !!!!

  • CEE GEE

Both just in ttm....I cant begin to explain how much I love both of these 2 pieces...I got them at a Steiner signing and sent them out ttm...I got Fingers for 15...I also sent Kiner a check but he never cashed it....and added that sweet ass inscription...man this really hits home for me...i haven't got anything really good back to be proud of...this takes the collecting cake !!!!!!!

Hey Jeff...I think now may be your chance...I did send Kiner a check for 20 but he never cashed it...probably sooner or later but it worked....dude...I got him now 2 for 2....

  • Lee Parmerter

Today's mail brought 2 for 2 of Nigel Terry who played King Arthur in Excalibur and 2 for 2 of Raquel Welch from 10,000 Years B.C. and The Four Musketeers.

  • Robert Babb

    awsome ceegee and lee!

  • Russ Robinson

Sorry guys, no time for pics tonight. I did get a couple of nice WWE successes today though! First, I got 3 of 3 from The Godfather. Secondly, I got my card back from, former World Champion Jack Swagger!

  • Steve Zarelli

I don't want to cast unnecessary doubt, but that Virgil Trucks really has me wondering...

Could someone be signing his mail for him? He had a stroke or something years ago and every exemplar I've seen has been quite shaky.

It's possible he has recovered, but this is what I would expect to get back from Mr. Trucks:

  • Steve Zarelli

So far nothing back from spring training. I've had over a dozen requests out for a month now.

I'm starting to brace myself for getting skunked.

  • David Jackson

Zipper, since he used a blue marker and my picture sucked its not easy to see good, but it matches up to the one you showed and my other responses.  I write him pretty regularly and he always writes me notes back, this time he wrote me a whole letter. signature on the letter also matches. The "fire" on the 51 bowman also matches your example exactly (he used a thinner marker it looks like).  I will take a better picture and post it.

  • David Jackson

Zipper, I appreciate the comment, because if something I have in my collection is not real I do want to know it.  Thanks for looking.  Here is a closeup of the card signature and the signature on the letter that came with it.

  • Steve Zarelli

That looks better. The letter looks like it should... and I can see more of the quivering in the signed card now. On the previous scan it looked much smoother. Maybe the thicker barrel of the Sharpie is also easier for him to grip, thus less shakiness. Sorry for the false alarm. :-)

  • David Jackson

Heres another one he sent me before Christmas:

  • David Jackson

No problem at all Zipper.  Thats what I love about this site! If something seems or is questionable people here will call it out.  I love it!  If I have something thats not good, its better to get my feel goods hurt now rather than a few years down the road after I have made it my prized possession and brought it out at every family reunion to show off, LMAO.

  • CEE GEE

sending more out today...and some more tomorrow....

  • CEE GEE

Also here is Monte Irvin's info if any one is interested...I sent him another request this morning with my check...

  • Robert Babb

I got a nice autograph tttm from steve kanaly who signed my donruss americana trading card.

  • Russ Robinson

Just one today. I got Justin Pender to sign another card for my Toledo Walleyes team set.

  • David Jackson

Big stinking nothing again today.  I think everyone is at spring training or on vacation.
