Those are awesome Russ...sending to him this week...did they take long to come back ?...another friend of mine got him last night...I think his took about 2 months...I got some sweet stuff to send to him...he's beyond awesome...big fan of The Simpson's...one of my favorite shows of all time...
Thanks CEE GEE! I love the Simpsons too! I'm kind of working on getting a few cards signed by the actors. Nothing Earth shattering, but, occassionally, I will send a few out. The last one I tried was Yeardly Smith, but that was an R.T.S. This one took 212 days. Maybe he's catching up on his mail. Good Luck!
I got autographs ttm from wrestler dean malenko and author christopher paolini. I also got in the mail a book i ordered off of james best website called best in hollywood- the good. the bad. and the beautiful also signed by james best himself!
I got 2 in today! First, I got a couple of signed bookmarks from, author, Lauren Hunter! I also got 3 cards signed by the Road Dogg! My only hope is that he takes some of that big WWE money that he is making now and buys some new Sharpies! The one that he signed these cards with has seen better days! LOL!
Having a very nice mail week so far. Today's mail brought me the autograph of Bobby Richardson. It's been well documented on this thread what a great New York Yankee he was, but did you guys know what a great college baseball coach he was? He completely turned around the University of South Carolina baseball program in the 1970's, and helped guide them to a 51-6 record in 1975 and second place in the College World Series. Overall he had a phenominal coaching record of 220-90 from 1970 through 1976.
Yesterday's mail brought me the autograph of 1940 NFL MVP and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Clarence "Ace" Parker. Ace will turn 100 years old on May 17th, so due to age, his signature has changed quite a bit. He's still going strong from what I hear.
Can anyone see the pics I posted? I may have to just give up on it, and if anyone wants to see a pic of something I get in the mail, let me know and I'll text it to you. Can't figure this stuff out. Computers are not my thing.
Alright.......seems to be working now. Today's mail ato work brought me the autograph of Bainbridge Colby, Secretary of State under President Woodrow Wilson from March, 1920- March, 1921. He was instrumental in the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which gave women the right to vote. The autograph is in the form of a certified canceled check, and I bought it from Joed Miller, a member here on Live!, for $10. I believe he has plenty of these, and a pretty interesting story on how he got them and a few other things, so if anyone wants one, hit him up. They're really neat pieces from someone pretty important in our nation's history.
I had a big mailday yesterday! 5 packages! I did have one R.T.S. from Jim Thome. Oh well. I'll just send it to the Phillies once the season starts. I did get 3 more cards for my Toledo Walleye set. David Toews, who is the brother of Blackhawks captain Johnathon Toews. Speaking of the Blackhawks, I also got Carter Hutton. He got called up earlier in the season. Finally, I got Paul Zanette. Anyone that's a fan of the show Oddities will know the names Mike Zohn and Evan Michelson. They signed my 2 card decoys! Finally, I got 2 of 2 from, basketball legend, Nancy Lieberman Cline! Pretty good mailday for Friday!
Finally 2 returns after a dry spell. Al Kaline on a Goudey reprint card, and Jerry coleman on a original 1951 Bowman. Also picked up a great purchase on ebay last night. Glad the weekend starts good.
Today's mail brought 3 new Walleye cards for my set! I got Rob Flick, who now plays for the Chicago Blackhawks, Brian Matte, and Evan Rankin. Both Rankin and Matte sent along notes. Matte even told e that it was going to be his last year in hockey because of concussions. What a shame. Finally, I got a response from, former WWE Superstar, Domino! Nice way to wrap up the mailweek!
Jeff...I wish bro...I got them from replicatickets.com they have so many tickets on there and these are just going to display really nicely...there like 2 bucks each...they got sports...concerts...all types of crazy stuff...there one sided...and the bottom one is actually laminated...your choice...
i received bill clinton(email) , john travolta(email) ,and former qb warren rabb lsu 58 national champ (ttm) . also received my richard petty (ttm) back last week.
Nice score, Jason! And Chris, I was wondering, because if you had an original ticket to that game, signed by Larsen, and then got Berra on it....what an amazing piece that would be.
Dick Ayers is awesome. Years ago he invited me to his Westchester County home for a visit. What a thrill it was to sit in the same studio that created so many pages of comic greatness. I have a ton of stuff signed by him including my Avengers #1. :-)
great stuff guys....Dick Ayers is an awesome TTM signer...I have one sitting down in my apartment ready to go but havent wrote the letter yet...hes awesome for sure....pure comic legend...so sick that Mr.Zipper was able to get in there....thats just an amazing story...
Thanks Russ...your always crushing for sure...Jeff...I will more then likely get Berra added this year...even if its going to cost $100...YIKES...
Great day guys...got a GWB book plate last night and Stan Musial denied me again so I am giving up on him...will be posting pics soon
I like that version of his signature much better. theres more flow from the B to the h. Thats more the way he signed stuff as president I think. Congrats!
MY GOD... am I the only person in the world who did not get a response from GWB?!?!? CEE GEE... can you PM me the addy you used? I guess I'm going to have to try again since it's been a year since I wrote.
CEE GEE... you are an amazing asset to this community. :-) I did get your PM by the way... wasn't ignoring it but planned on giving you a ring to discuss. Then I got busy at work. I'll try you later!
In 7 days for cash...also got an RTS from Lee Macphail...I got him last year but he is up there in age...I am going to try one more time...hope every one else gets in some cool stuff
Whiteys auto seems to be losing its flare it used to have about 10-15 years ago...although authentic its not as fluid as it used to be and a bit choppy...but I still love it...
Not so terrible Tuesday for "the hardest working man in the TTM racket". First off, voice actress, June Foray signed 6 of 6 for me in 8 days! Next, I got a sweet signed card for my Walleye set. Kyle Page signed one of one and enclosed a nice note in 28 days!
