Hey Jarrod, my brother in law has this one, not sure what he wants but know he's open to selling so let me know if interested and make an offer and I'll ask him once I see him. Thanks
Busy weekend this past weekend, so I am just now able to update. One on Saturday from Pumpsie Green. Mr. Green was the first Black mamber of the Boston Red Sox.
I got autographs ttm from joey king, jim cornette, bob dole, bonnie blair, mary Higgins clark, and my favorite from Nathaniel taylor who sent me two autographed pictures, also answered some questions as as well! An awesome mail day!
Got a nice one in the mail yesterday....newly elected Pro Football Hall of Famer, Ray Guy. Ray is a Georgia high school football legend. Won 2 state championships as a Mr. Everything at Thomson High School: quarterback, running back, defensive back, kicker, and yes, punter. Went on to play college ball at Southern Miss, and had an outstanding pro career with the Raiders. Led the NFL in punting in 1974, 1975, and 1977. Helped the Raiders win 3 Super Bowls, too.
Thanks, Bob! And the week just got better with these 2 beauties today. First, former All-Pro center for the Atlanta Falcons Jeff Van Note signed this awesome 8x10 for my man cave today. Jeff was a 5-time Pro Bowl selection and played for the Falcons from 1969 to 1986, playing in 246 games, starting 226 of those games.
And then, this awesome 1974 Topps, inscribed and signed by Pro Football Hall of Famer, Lem Barney. Lem was probably the greatest cornerback of his era. He was the 1967 Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year when he intercepted 10 passes, returning 3 for touchdowns. Lem could do it all: ran some running plays, played corner, returned kicks, and even punted! He could just take over a game at any time. For example, in the last game of the 1970 season, the Lions, at 9-4, went into Tiger Stadium in Detroit, to play the Packers, with the temperature at 30 degrees and needed a win to get in the playoffs. Coach Joe Schmidt ( who was a Hall of Fame linebacker himself for the Lions,) needed someone to make some big plays. Lem would go on to return a kickoff 74 yards to set up one score, had 100 yards on punt returns for the day, and returned an interception 49 yards for a touchdown in the 4th quarter to seal a 20-0 victory. Talk about a game changer!
Found something strange in my mailbox today. It was one of my sases! Actually, I got 3 today! Its been so long that I almost forgot what they looked like! I received 2 of 2 from Nicole Barnhart, 4 of 4 from Dave Andreychuck, and 5 of 5 from Erik Larsen!
2 more ttms to end the month! First, soap actress, Cady McClain signed and 8x10 for me, but did not return my trading cards. Secondly, Kathy Mattea signed my cassette cover and 5 trading cards for me.
Got one in the mail yesterday, and after figuring out how to use the camera on my new phone, I'm getting around to posting it. Bob Kuechenberg was an offensive guard on the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins team that went 17-0 and beat the Redskins in Super Bowl VII. He was a 3-time All-Pro selection who made 6 Pro Bowl teams, and someone who I think is deserving of being named a Hall of Famer someday.
No autographs in the mail today, but I was able to snag some AWESOME Atlanta Braves autographs of John Smoltz, Steve Avery, and Greg Olson, along with the 1980 NFL co-Defensive Rookie of the Year, former Atlanta Falcon linebacker, Buddy Curry, at the annual Dixie Highway 90-Mile Yard Sale held at the Marietta (GA) Museum of History. Check out the pictures in Sports Autographs.
I got an autograph ttm from peter laird today! He included a signed postcard and two signed drawing cards of Raphael signed as well from the ninja turtles.
I finally got some ttms in today. I was begining to think that I was going to be shut out this week! David Rudman a.k.a. Cookie Monster signed 3 of 3 for me and my boys. Former Kurt Busch crew chief, Steve Addington signed 1 of 1.
Been a busy week with no time to post. Got 2 football legends in this week. First, the 1966 Newspaper Enterprise Association NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, Tommy Nobis, and then, Hall of Fame guard for the Miami Dolphins, Larry Little.
