Today's mail day was incredible. I opened up my mail box to find this amazing personalized 8x10 of one of the greatest women in our nation's history, Mrs. Barbara Morgan. Mrs. Morgan was selected as one of 2 winners of the Teacher in Space Project in 1985, along with Christa McAuliffe. Mrs. Morgan was selected to be the backup Payload Specialist for Mrs. McAuliffe's scheduled space flight. On January 28, 1986, flying aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger on NASA mission STS-51-L, Christa McAuliffe was killed when the Challenger exploded 73 seconds after liftoff. The Teacher In Space Project was ended, along with the hopes and dreams of Mrs. Morgan getting to fulfill her goal. Then, in 1998, NASA gave the project a new name, the Educator Astronaut Project, and announced Mrs. Morgan would be the first educator they would train to be a Mission Specialist for a future space flight. On August 8, 2007, 21 and a half years after watching her friend perish, Mrs. Morgan bravely flew aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavor (the very shuttle that replaced the Challenger,) on mission STS-118, and spent 12 days teaching and assisting with the assembly of the International Space Station, and completed the achievements so many had hoped for. Thank you, Mrs. Morgan.

Today brought 3 of 3 from, WWE Superstar, Jack Swagger!

One today from, NASCAR legend, Bill Elliott.
He signed 3 of 4 for me.
I plan on sending the one card out to Junior Johnson for signing soon.

Got 2 very nice autographs for my daughter, Olivia, today. She has absolutely fallen in love with all of the Disney princesses when we took her to Disney World, and I just have a feeling one day, she would treasure the autographs of the ladies that played all her favorite characters in the movies we watch together over and over.....and over. :) Mary Costa, who played Aurora in the 1959 Disney film "Sleeping Beauty," signed the index card I sent her, and Margaret Kerry, who was the Tinker Bell model for artist Marc Davis' in the 1953 Disney film "Peter Pan," signed the index card I sent her to me, and then sent Olivia two 4x6 pictures. I was so excited when these came in. I hope one day when she is old to enough to appreciate these, my daughter will treasure these amazing autographs.

Very nice, Jeffery. Mary Costa has the best writing I've ever seen. I love seeing the stuff everyone gets back from her.

Its been a long time since I received more than one ttm at a time. Today, I got 4!
First, Audu Paden who does the voice of Ghoulia Yelps in the Monster High cartoons signed the front and back of a postcard for my daughter.
Next, Ron Gant signed 2 of 2 and Mark O'Meara and Brett Bodine both signed 4 of 4!

July has to be my all time favorite month! I got 2 more ttms in on Saturday!
First, Sterling Sharpe signed 4 of 4 for me.
Then, I got 2 cards signed by, Nascar legend, Rusty Wallace!

Got the autograph of National Inventors Hall of Fame member, Edith Flanigen, in today's mail. Edith was the inventor of a key molecular sieve used to refine petrolium, Zeolite Y. Because of her, petrolium refining is much safer and productive than it use to be.

Received autographs from Denny Hamlin (curent NASCAR star and the 2006 NASCAR Rookie of the Year,) Gene Kranz (NASA flight director and Missions Operations director from 1960-1994,) Fred Williamson (All-Pro defensive back for the Steelers, Raiders, and Chiefs from 1960-1967, and star of many blaxploitation movies,) Tommy Barrett (second baseman for the Phillies and Red Sox from 1988-1992,) Ricky Arnold (Mission specialist for NASA's STS-119 mission,) and Frank Gifford (Hall of Fame halfback, wide reciever, and defensive back for the Giants 1952-1964.)

This week started off with a bang. Was able to get the autographs of Scott Arniel (former left winger for the Jets, Sabres, and Bruins,) Khalid Ballouli (former Brewers pitching prospect who is now a well known sports marketing professor at the University of South Carolina,) and so very blessed, thankful, and gracious to have the autograph of a man who I have read so much about, and truly admire, the 6th man on the moon, Edgar Mitchell.

I got my card back from Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever unsigned. No note or any explanation. Just an unsigned card and wasted postage.

Today, I added two more astronauts to my collection: newly graduated from the astronaut training program, LtCol. Nick Hague, and Flight Engineer for Expedition 40/41 of the International Space Station, Cmdr. Reid Wiseman. LtCol. Hague graduated from NASA's astronaut training program just a few weeks ago on July 8, 2015, and is awaiting his first flight assignment. Cmdr. Wiseman was a part of Expedition 40/41 on the ISS from May 28, 2014, until November 10, 2014, and performed many technological and life science experiments that will be a huge part in the development of the deep space missions of the future. Not only was he gracious enough to send me a signed 8x10, but he sent me a sticker of his flight patch, and an autographed 4x6 of the Expedition 40/41 crew! I have always wanted to have an autographed crew picture, and now I have one thanks to Cmdr. Wiseman. What a class act from a classy gentleman.

Pretty decent mail day. Although, I was disappointed with one.
First, Junior Johnson signed my card that was previously signed by Bill Elliott.
Next Jeff Turner signed a couple of cards for me.
Lastly, Jimmy Smitts signed 1 of 3 and didn't return my other 2 pics. It bums me out as they were pics of him as "Nero" from Sons of Anarchy and I have seen recent success with multiple from him before.

Friday's mail brought me a beautifully signed album from one of my most favorite artists, Grammy award winner Juice Newton! I sent this to her, just hoping to get it back. I know many music artists don't like to sign albums, so I am just honored that she thought enough of me to sign mine.

Right you are, Bob. And don't forget also on this album are her hit songs Queen of Hearts, and my all-time favorite of hers, The Sweetest Thing (I've Ever Known). She is a true gem.
