I got autos from James Karen and Alfred Molina in the mail today! The adresses i got from autograph magazine. As a bonus i got my latest issue of autograph magazine in the mail yesterday.
Okay everyone says that Tony Curtis doesn't sign TTM anymore and all I can say is BULL. The reason being not only have I received an email from his personal assistant but I have talked to Mr. Curtis in person on the phone (He called me) and from his own lips he said he signs everything that comes across his desk. Now to be fare it is nice to add a donation even a small one to help his Shiloh Horse Sanctuary because he appreciates everything sent. He is probably one of the best signers out there.
Sorry I had to get that off of my chest and by the way the man just turned 85 and his signature is going to have some changes here and there especially if he has been signing for a long time. I have seen autographs go from beautiful things to a scribble in a matter of hours.
Saturday brought me through the mail my 1966 Topps card of former relief pitcher, Terry Fox, signed beautifully in blue ink pen. Over 7 seasons, Terry played for the Braves, Tigers, and Phillies, amassing a 29-19 record, with 59 saves, and a sparkling 2.99 ERA. He was in the top 5 in the American League in saves in 1961 and 1962.
I got an autograph through the mail from former wwe wrestler jim powers. He was former tag team partner of paul roma as young stallions in the wwe several years back.
robert, anyluck finding anything with tommy lasorda? I have two one ball and one on texas roadhouse stationary which he was a chairman of the board or a board member. but he was a great signer. Also i was driving home A week ago and i saw some boxes on the side of the road. I turned the corner to go back and see what they were. I pulled into a drive along side five boxes and an album of ball cards. everything , basketball, foot ball, base ball and hockey. when i went through i found some great cards including four signed ball cards. I hit pay dirt, if you having body you are looking for in a card let me know i will checkm the boxes and let you know. also received a great signed 8x10 color of les stroud from survivorman.
I usually use three .44 stamps. But I also send at least 2 8 X 10 photos and thy are at least 10mil thick so they are pretty heavy and I ask for a donation if possible and that usually covers most of the cost.
But if I am sending to a venue like on Broadway I may even add another stamp since the donations are normally playbills and those add a little more weight. But it all depends on what you are sending and what you expect back.
When I'm sending an item out for an autograph, I usually contact the person first to see if they are willing to sign. If I get a return that says to go ahead and send my item I send everything priority mail with a return SASE priority mail item and I do confirmation both ways. I won't do it for a card or an 8x10 but will do it when sending out a mini helmet or an item that already has been signed by others.
Sending a note first has been a godsend and sometimes I get an extra autograph by the recipient signing the return note.
Shane, I have been doing well with just a 44 cent stamp. Of course, I only send out index cards or trading cards. I recently used UPS to send off for an autograph of Steve Carlton on a beautiful 11x14 picture of 300 game winners in baseball history, and I used a thick bubble envelope to send and have it returned in, and used an SASE with confirmation and everything. It got back to me OK, but was beat to death!! I am thankful I used an 11x14 toploader for extra protection. That is the only thing that saved that picture from being completely destroyed. I even put "Pictures - Do Not Bend" on the envelopes. Next time, I think I will use a nice size box to ship it in to the next person to sign it.
I have only sent one picture out that was signed by someone else and the only reason I even did that one was because I knew they were regular signers and I would get it back and I also had an extra signed picture by that person just in case.
Well after a very slow two weeks. I had only received one envelope in 2 weeks. I received two on Wednesday and they were packed.
I received Angie Dickinson and she signed all of her Police Woman DVD covers from the set and I had sent Martin Sheen a request for Charlie Sheen and also added a photo for him to sign for a donation to my charity and not only did he return that picture but he gave me an extra 4 pictures from him three for the charity and one extra for me. SWEET!
Now not only did I get those but Charlie also signed the pictures I mailed for him so a really nice return and I really didn't expect Charlie's.
I also recently got an envelope from Craig Ferguson.
I hate when I ask them to sign something for the my charity and they personalize everything to me and then it's difficult to use for an auction. Right now I almost have an entire 9 X 12 filled with donations and that doesn't count the signed scripts, books, playbills and other items that have been sent. I hope to have Heritage do an auction for us soon and hopefully they can find someone to donate their time and expertise to authenticate the items. If I am not sure about an item I didn't add it to the donations but most are very real.
Thanks guys reason I was asking I had been sending mine out with three 44 cent stamps but I had read on an actress website to at least send a buck forty for a return. But thank you so much for the reply.
Today I got back in the mail my 1990 LSU Collegiate Collection card signed by the great quarterback Bert Jones. Bert was an All-American in 1972, and would go on to have a wonderful pro career, earning the NFL MVP award in 1976. Played 10 years in the NFL, and threw for 18,190 yards, and 124 touchdowns.
Man, oh man! Did my weekend get even better in the autograph area! I have recently moved into a new house and into a new community, so I have been having my autograph requests through the mail go to my mother's house, so as to not loose any through forwarding mail. She brought them to me this weekend, and here's what I got:
*1960 Topps card signed by former Dodgers great Chuck Essegian
*1961 Topps cards signed by former Giants great Jim Davenport and by former Tigers great Charlie Maxwell
1963 Topps card sigend by former Houston Colt .45s great Bob Bruce
1966 Topps card signed by former White Sox great Greg Bollo

Today, I received a 2005 Topps All-Time Fan Favorites card signed in blue Sharpie by Miami Dolphins great, Manny Fernandez. Manny played 8 seasons in the NFL, and recorded 35 sacks, while playing in 3 Super Bowls, winning 2 of them. He was a part of the famed "No Name Defense" which helped lead the 1972 Dolphins to the only perfect season in NFL history, 17 wins and 0 losses.
I got autographs from wrestler elijah burke and a surprise one from michelle pfeiffer which looks authentic to me. An awsome way to finish this month out!
i got a Carrie Ann Inaba signed color photo in the mail today! she's my favorite dancing with the stars professional judge. she's very nice and ALWAYS responds to autograph requests =)
I received a drawing and autograph from Jewel. I am having a fundraising auction on eBay shortly with all proceeds going to the Childrens Wish Foundation. I am asking celebrities to design a card and it will be auctioned off. Jewels card and many others can be found here: http://kardz4kidz.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=8291255
Got back today my 1966 Topps card of former Detroit Tigers, New York Mets, and Philadelphia Phillies catcher, John Sullivan. John played for 5 seasons, and hit for a career average of .228, but during his career, he faced 9 Hall of Fame pitchers (Drysdale, Marichal, Gibson, Jenkins, Neikro, Bunning, Palmer, Hunter, and Perry,) and hit for an outstanding .308 batting average against those guys!
I also got wrestling autographs from nattie neidhart and mickie james in the mail today that my daughter did not see that was left in the mail box. Nattie Neidhart said she would send a picture if i sent a larger envelope which i thought was nice of here!
About a week and ahalf ago i bought a package from tna wrestling like russ robinson a fellow autograph collector on here. For 50 bucks i got 8 wrestling autographs that included jeff jarrett, aj styles, abyss, james storm, mike tenay, and a few others. The package also included two wrestling tshirts of their choice and six wrestling dvds. Also a tna wrestling program with awrestling mask and a single wrestlin cd theme song. Plus free shipping made it an awsome deal! I was just pleased with the autographs and tshirts with dvds!

My wife and i saw Gary Puckett in concert tonight. Not only was the concert awsome but after the show he went above and beyond signing autographs for every one! If you ever get the chance to see him in concert you will be in for a treat!
