    Nice returns to report today.

First, Bruce Armstrong signed 3 of 3. I am only going to keep one of them.
The big surprise came from, actor, Stellan Skarsgard. I sent him a card to the set of the Avengers movie and got it back today postmarked from Stockholm Sweeden! I thought it was gone for good. Not only did he signed my Thor card, but sent a signed note card as well! Never give up!

  • Robert Babb

  • Jeffery Kite

OK, guys....got a real treat in the mail today from 18-time major champion, Jack Nicklaus. I've heard he autopens some and answers some of his fan mail. Here's what I got. Opinions are welcome. I think it's The Golden Bear himself.

  • Jeff Bessinger

Looks good to me Jeff but I am no expert
  • Julie Snyder

These arrived ttm yesterday from the Hollywood Show. I pre-ordered these prior to their attendance at the show last month (April20-21, 2013).

  • Russ Robinson

The USPS feels justified for raising the price of postage, but then give us quality service like this!

  • Russ Robinson

Other than the mangled letter that I received today, I did get back my pin-up signed by The Blue Meanie.

  • Jeffery Kite

Thanks, Jeff! I've a good many dealers and collectors look at it, and they say it's 100% real. Getting PSA to take a look at it on the 25th. They're coming to BP Sports for an authentication appearance.

My daughter, Rebekkah, got one of her Monster High cards back from Salli Saffioti. She does the voice of Cleo De-Nile and Clawdeen Wolf on the cartoon. She signed the front of the card in black pen, so it is hard to see, but she also signed the back with a nice inscription for Bekkah!

Do any of you write to non-sports celebrities or to world boxing champions through the mail? Because so far, what I see here mainly are baseball, football and basketball ones.

  • Adam Richard Utz

The majority of mine are actors and actresses and Wnba

  • Russ Robinson

Personally, I have never had much luck writing to boxers. Back in the 90s, I did get Ali before, he started sending out the autopens, and George Foreman sent back my   trading card unsigned with a small signed pic.

As far as non-sports celebrities, I have had many successes with them, but they are few and far between. Sports stars, especially retired ones, tend to be more apt to sign. In my opinion.

  • Russ Robinson

    Yesterday, I got 2 ttm.

First, Duane Kuiper signed 2 of 2.

Secondly, Ryan Church signed 4 of 4 .

  • Jorge Marin

Yesterday I received Jack Nicklaus signed item. Read the story about this on the J Nicklaus topic in the Golf group section.

  • Antonio Santiago

Russ: There is a service out there, I cant remember the name right now, that sells you all kinds of celebrity addresses. The boxing list costs $7.50, but it contains hundreds of hundreds of home addresses and the addresses are mostly accurate. As far as writing boxers, I'd say not to write to the biggest names obviously, but there are several smaller names that are Hall of Famers and that are in the list. If you decide to get the list, go to your local shop and ask if they have the old Kayo Boxing cards. They are the same size as baseball cards and you can send them that for autographs!

  • Russ Robinson

Just got back in town from a nice Memorial Day celebration back in my home town, and opened the mail box to find this gem: a 2012 Topps card autographed by Braves pitcher, Brandon Beachy. Brandon is currently rehabing his elbow after Tommy John Surgery last year, and looks to be back sometime after the All-Star break. I think he'll be a good one once he gets everything worked out: he's 12-10, with a 3.07 ERA in 41 career starts over the past 3 seasons.

  • Robert Babb

I got a reply ttm from bruce jenner who signed 1 of 1 of an americana heroes and legends card.
