Hi Diana. Loved your blog. Aren't you glad I insisted on taking your picture with Tim and Dave (Spin and Marty)? And, of course, the Mice (Mouseketeers)!

    Hi Diana,
Yes it was a wonderful occasion. I've actually had three Mouseketeer stories in AUTOGRAPH. I'm hoping that they'll run one on Spin and Marty...but havn't heard anything from them as yet. I had several cool exchanges during the weekend with Nicholas Hammond (Friedrich von Trapp in "The Sound of Music"). Do I see that you live in the UK?! I thought you lived in California, from the blog.

The first one was in the September 2003 issue, pages 132 &133 : One Brief Signing Moment--Julie's Mouse Hunt. The second one was in the March 2005 issue ; the innermost columns of the News pages 14 &15 : A Mouse in the House. That one was a really cool experience!

Have you been able to get the earlier issues? By the way, I printed out your blog on your Mouseketeer weekend. Hope you don't mind. I still chuckle on your comment on your nervousness at meeting Spin and Marty (Tim and David). :) Aren't you glad I encouraged you for your photo op with htem?

    uh.....that would be "them".
  • Julie Snyder

Yeah, for me, too! I told both of them that I had attempted to meet them in 1995 (I believe) when they made an appearance at Disney World here in FL at a Disneyana Convention. I decided to go on "Public Day" only to learn that both of them had left the day before. Talk about disappointment! I more than made up for it last month! Tim was funny when he told me to make sure people know that I was NOT wearing my Triple R shirt when they signed it.

I don't think that they do many appearances like this. So it was really specail and nice that they were there. Tim was especially nice at shoe closing that Saturday. When I shook his hand and told him how much I appreciated the opportunity to finally meet him, he said, "After all these years."
