I am a semi-active document examiner. (a hobbiest) I possess a small lab, computer, electronic microscope, reference books. I wish to widen my market.

    Discussing letters of opinion would definitely be valuable here. As you may be aware, the forensic examiners that issue letters--and often now COAs--used to sell autographs have a bad reputation in the hobby, because they primarily authenticate forgeries as genuine. It would be great to have FDEs like you share their expertise and explain proper procedures and such.

    What about starting a forum discussion under Autograph Authentication Services on Forensic Document Examination? Or we can set up a separate group for it, and you can invite other FDEs to join in, too.
