Rich replied to Phil Dilling's discussion Opinions on the store "Field of Dreams"
"Yeah - they seemed okay in the modern sports department (though pricing was hardly competitive), but the entertainment side of things was incredibly problematic every time I ran across one of their stores. They seemed to be a towering example of a…"

Steve Cyrkin, Community Manager replied to Phil Dilling's discussion Opinions on the store "Field of Dreams"
"The stores are independently owned and quality varied dramatically. I've been to a few over the years, and some had a sports inventory that looked 100% A-OK, and others didn't have any autographs besides private and licensed signings that…"

"Thanks James and others for the replies and opinions. As I mentioned, my pieces are signed cds from the Rolling Stones. I'm pretty sure that FOD never had the stones come in to do private signings like they did with the sports celebrities so my…"

"And I’m sure it was third-party sourced because Mark McGwire wasn’t doing signings in 1998."

James replied to Phil Dilling's discussion Opinions on the store "Field of Dreams"
"They are still in existence.  And they’re not all fakes.  They still have signings with sports stars where you can line up and get a star to sign your item right in from of you.  So definitely not all fakes.  Like I said,…"

"I was given a Mark McGwire ball as a gift from there in 1998. It was confirmed here that it is not real. So this is one example of them selling fakes."

James replied to Phil Dilling's discussion Opinions on the store "Field of Dreams"
"I don’t know a lot about them, but i do know there is both good and bad to report about them.  Some will say bad things about them, and they probably have a legitimate gripe.  However, some of their stuff is definitely authentic.…"

Opinions on the store "Field of Dreams"

Does anyone remember "Field of Dreams"? In my area (Illinois, Indiana) they were stores usually found in higher - end malls and sold entertainment and sports memorabilia, some signed and some not. I don't know if they still exist or not but my question is whether or not their signed items were real or not. I have a couple rolling stones items that are accompanied with their coa. See More

"An interesting conversation! If I could share my experience - a  few years back when I started collecting autographs and not having much experience or knowledge I did rely on the PSA QO. I received a few LNG but there was a Rolling Stones…"

Richard Booth replied to Phil Dilling's discussion Elvis Presley authentication / Rich Consola
"That very much resembles the copied Elvis signature from the show scarfs which were massed produced. The one in your post Steve is a copy of a signature Elvis did sign which was to be used as a copy and paste signature for a range of merchandise."
