<p>There was a play called “The Miracle” that had cast of the piper and nun. It was written by <span>German playwright Kurt Vollmoller and toured throughout the US during the 20’s. I believe in</span> <span>1926-27 they were in NYC at the Century Theater. I am not certain of who this is but, I am guess this might give you a start to his identity. </span></p>

<p>It looks like a German Expressionist photo, perhaps from a play, and dating roughly to C1915-1925 as far as I can tell. Earlier than leter for sure. Here's a typical example:</p>
