Some of you know me, and from what I understand, someone caught selling yet another bad Ford autograph has once again, decided to spout off at the mouth. Claims that I am a dealer and I only tell unsuspecting autograph buyers that their item is fake so that I can sell my own Harrison Fords. Again I am hearing claims that the likely supplier of the forgeries is the true expert on Harrison Ford autographs.

Side note the seller sent me a friend request message yesterday with the single question about if I knew a particular collector. In my world this says plenty, and likely tells me where the piece originated.

When I tell people that I track the sale of Harrison Ford autographs, I am not kidding around, I watch sales here, I watch sales on rebelscum and on ebay and other online auction sites.

Who signed them? Who is the forger? I am not going to play games and point fingers, nor will I even guess if the supplier is the forger, all I can do is put together where they came from.

I will give the people that have had these in their possession, that courtesy. They can come clean about where they got them as the "in-person" and "private signing" stories fall apart.

This is the same courtesy I tried to provide to Marc Moser, the last guy caught in a huge Ford Forgery mess. He decided to drag my name thru the mud for a few months as well, but by doing that he just shot himself in the foot. People will wake up sooner or later, and the truth does come out.

I present these images to you, again supplying the signatures and letting the people on this forum and others as judge, you decide the truth. You will also be the deciding factor if these autograph professionals keep their reputations or if they have earned brand new ones.

Every item below has been tracked to the most recent seller, and through his own admission the source of the autographs, I will also include items sold elsewhere by the supplier who admitted on these very pages to supplying some of these.

The pattern is pretty clear to me.

As for the recent claims about me being a dealer, out to only hurt other peoples supposedly reputable business.

Please keep in mind, that anyone that has purchased anything at all from me in the past 5 years has approached me. When they do I usually point them in other directions and offer to authenticate (for free) any item they ask about, from any other source.

Star Wars ESB shot is a no. Indy shot is likely a rushed in-person sample, but without seeing him sign that particular piece, there is no way to authenticate that.

OK thank you. I know you are the man to speak to about Ford, really appreciate it.

Hi Pete, When you get a chance would you mind casting your eye over these two other Ford's please? Really appreciate our opinion.

The first one the letter sizes and flow are wrong, maybe he was drunk, or maybe someone is trying to copy his early style signature.

The second one has been covered quite a bit and is just a standard fake from the 1990's.

Thank you Pete.

The first one is currently for sale on eBay and the seller claims it came from an AFTAL dealer? Ebay

The title of the auction is a give away that the seller has obviously been questioned a few times about its authenticity!

As always appreciate the help.

Yes, the magic letters strike again...... AFTAL, UACC, JSA, PSA, GAI etc etc etc.

All this does is give the seller someone else to blame.

Well my AAA tow truck driver said my coronary bypass looks great......That is certainly the final say on that matter.

It is all silly nonsense.

Find a dealer you trust and stick with him or her.... and before you drop a nickel, spend the time to study & understand the autograph you want to buy. I know it isn't easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.

Skip the alphabet soup and find people who have actually stood before your hero and got his/her autograph....ask them for samples or ask them who is actually conducting signings with the celeb.

One last tidbit for all the Ford collectors out there.

If a modern decent Ford from a reliable source is $700-$1200, how many vintage samples will a novice collector be able to grab off ebay for 249GBP?

If you have to think about this before answering, you may be in the wrong hobby.

My opinion an off the street autograph of Ford is only worth 300-500 bucks. A certified full name neat autograph from Ford with a picture of him signing the item then yea 600-700 bucks or more. It's not like his autograph or so rare plus he signs in person.

Value is always subjective. Modern Ford signed photos are plentiful although better examples command a premium. Older Ford full signatures definitely command a premium and are not plentiful. IMO, a full Ford signed piece with good contrast is well worth the $1000 and up range.

True, a shitty off the street signatures not so much.

Pete - you were kind enough to give me an opinion in another thread on a Ford which I'm looking at. Thank you :)

Anyway, the reason I'm looking for a Ford, is that having studied his signature over a period of time, I've convinced myself that my much-cherished Ford (which came from an AFTAL dealer) isn't legit. Before I push the button on replacing it, I thought it might be worth popping back to get a second opinion, if you would be so kind?

First opinion, second opinion and third opinion all say the same thing James. You need to find a real Ford.

Please feel free to let us all know what AFTAL dealer actually claimed to have gotten that POS in person. I for one, would love to know, so that I can add yet another name to the no fly list.
