There were many movie and television stars that appeared as guest stars (though never called that on the show) on TAGS.   Hopefully others will add their autographs of stars like Buddy Ebsen, Charlie Ruggles, Edgar Buchanan, Everett Sloane, Alan Hale, Jr.,Bob Denver, John Dehner and many others who appeared as "guest stars" on an episode of TAGS.  Elsewhere I think in the comment section I have my Jack Nicholson autograph.  I am not including him here because he was in two episodes.

Julie Adams is one of those stars she appeared in a very popular episode "The County Nurse."   I have had the pleasure of meeting her various times and she is one of the nicest stars I have encountered.  She spoke very highly of Andy Griffith and how much she enjoyed working with him.    She would go on to play Jimmy Stewart's wife in The Jimmy Stewart Show.  She also appeared in a reoccurring role as the man-crazy real estate agent on Angela Lansbury's  Murder She Wrote.  Horror fans remember best as Kay Lawrence in the Universal Productions Creature From the Black Lagoon.  This photograph is one I got from Miss Adams at her first Monster Bash Conference in Pittsburgh a few years ago.

Vito Scotti in the TAGS episode "The Gypsies."

What a great actor!!!  He was in a few Columbo episodes; The Godfather, of course; Von Ryan's Express and a host of others.

Magnificent actor.

I agree he could do anything drama or comedy.  I also loved his appearances on Gilligan's Island, and as Sam Picasso on The Addams Family.

Yes, the Gilligan's Island episode!!!

Very nice, Scott.  Vito Scotti one of the best supporting actors of all-time.

Ben or Ricou?

That is Ben Chapman in the picture he was very tall.  He played the creature out of the water carrying Julie Adams.  Ricou Browning did all the underwater scenes in the first movie.  Browning was in all three movies while Chapman only did the first.  I met all three at various times and just saw Mr. Browning in June.

Thanks Scott. I could not remember who did which. Was that Bissell in the first film? Second? Also in Body Snatchers at the end? I have a SUPERB Snatchers original still sold me to me Kevin's driver :D Original '56 paper from Snatchers is impossible. I might have an extra still (unsigned). Mine is signed by Mccarthy and Wynter - in felt but what can ya do...I remember Jerry Ohlinger telling me to forget trying to find any original Snatchers paper. I did not give up! ;)

Hi Scott,

I am sure you noticed the degradation of the gill man suit by the second/third film?

Well, I gotta go to Morajo Bay - see ya! :)

For the original I believe they had two different suits since Chapman was a lot taller than Browning.  Browning played the creature in all the movies and I suspect the suit probably needed patching by the end. Chapman also did a Colgate Comedy Hour with Abbott and Costello the same year I think the original movie was.

YUKI SHIMODA (1921-1981) played Barney's Karate Instructor who impersonates Barney to save his life in the TAGS episode "Barney's Uniform."  Shimoda was an excellent actor who appeared in movies such as Auntie Mame (1958), Don't Give Up the Ship (1959), Midway (1976), and MacArthur (1977).  He appeared in scores of television shows such as Thriller, Gomer Pyle, U.S. M.C., M*A*S*H, Quincy, Sanford and Son, Wonder Woman and The Big Valley.  This is an autograph from 1966 or very close to that in great turquoise ink.
