Authenticity is Everything
My Mick Jagger Autograph.
Hi. I purchased this from Roger Epperson last year and just like to share this particular graph with you. I know it's authentic. Signed in the early 1980's. It ranks as one of my favorite autographs in my collection.

Psychologists have discovered that creative people have a gene in common which is also linked to psychosis and depression.
They believe that the findings could explain why "geniuses" like Vincent van Gogh and Sylvia Plath displayed such destructive behaviour.
The gene, which is called neuregulin 1, plays a role in brain development but a variant of it is also associated with mental illnesses like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Researchers from Semmelweis University in Hungary recruited a group of volunteers who considered themselves to be very creative and accomplished.
"Molecular factors that are loosely associated with severe mental disorders but are present in many healthy people may have an advantage enabling us to think more creatively."
The study was published in the journal Psychological Science.

Alexander isn't mad and he's very good on Beatles. But he rarely has anything nice to say about the highly respected respected Beatles dealers and authenticators.
I didn't know he studied anything but them.

I agree with Alexander - it is fake. Here is a ticket signed for me by Mick and Charlie in 1983 - I was sitting next to them at Lords cricket ground so unequivocally genuine. The example you bought looks nothing like his real signature which has changed very little after 1970 to this day. Sorry, but I would be asking for my money back...

Thanks Michelle - they are both huge cricket fans and the game lasts for around 7 hours each day so it was a whole day in their company - they both couldn't have been nicer and must have signed hundreds of bits of paper all day without any fuss...

Mark, I'm surprised you don't see any resemblance in the two autographs, I do, the M, the J and the R look the same.

Hi Nick - only my opinion but there were 3 red flags that I haven't seen before namely; 1. The wide gait to the 2nd part of the M - normally its pretty much closed rather than this open. 2. Never seen a trail up to the a of Jagger like this before (ever) and 3. The ending of the autograph.
As I say, only my opinion, I have 3 in persons and 6 bought from fanatics who I trust and they are all different but all share a commonality which I didn't see here at first look.
However, I am not in the business like Roger and based on his clarity, who am I to argue? If you are happy that's what counts...I agree, the J does look exactly the same.

Thanks for the input Mark. I have been looking at Jagger graphs from google and my conclusion between mine and the rest including yours is they look as though they can be written by the same hand. I trust Roger's expertise and think he's correct on this one. I am impressed with your three in person Jagger autographs can you share them?
