This pretty signature almost looks too good to be true. Lots of lines and very airy - what do others think about it?  On the back of the photo it says 1953.

Thanks.

Oh my pleasure Henry, very welcome - I am interested to know if you saw what I described?

I’ve look til i’m Green and do see what you are saying - i’ll Let you know what it finally goes for - i’m Not bidding!

Please do. It is my pleasure to help you, Henry. I could help more if I knew - are you studying her? Or buying/collecting her? My opinions would not change, but knowing your interest would assist me in helping you reach your goal.

A long story that started in 1966 - the base I was stationed on had an ET festival and for a month they showed a whole lot of her movies. I was hooked. In the middle 70s I mailed her the book she wrote and finally got it back signed - i put the question of ‘is it real or not’ here and you said it was. I started buying signed ET pics about 10 years ago - knowing most of them were probably fake.  After getting two signed Nibbles and one signed by her mom I figured I was done. I probably have over 100 ‘signed’ pics and books. Now I am just interested in learning about her many signature styles. As Peter Sellers said: I like to watch. And see what is real or not. There is probably more but not sure everyone wants to hear from / about me.

According to Richard Burton I believe she would win ANY burping contest. ;)

Serious narcotic addict - Burton's diaries contains entry after entry - "...no "Ocean" today...". If Burton is complaining - you have a problem! But, I love her. She WAS Martha.

PS - I want to hear more from you :)

I spent the 70s working for a bank in LA. We bought a Bank that had branches in Hollywood, Westwood and God knows where else. I started seeing checks signed by ‘stars’ or just their name on the top line with their ‘whoever’ in charge of their bank accounts. I was in pig heaven and started gathering addresses. Then I went to Larry Edwards ( is that store still in business? ) and bought pictures and books by or about and started sending these pics and books out and I got most everything back - signed. Two of the ones that sent pre-printed pics were John Wayne and Liberace. I had practically the entire Pyramid series signed.  I even have a Pola Negri pic signed. Ingrid Bergman - Wagner / Wood - Mae West - Streisand - Redford - Jimmy Stewart. On and on. When I left LA for Key West I sold 4 or 5 box full just to pare it down. I kept and still have what the store didn’t want - like a Margaret Hamiliton signed 1939 movie edition of The Wizard of Oz that I just got a pristine Dist Jacket for. Enough for now.
