I've decided when the time comes to mat the full images - two 7x10's not two 5x7's. Simulated mat.

I guess I was just very excited to have them both(!) the same size and both the same products - but they should be framed separately.

I know exactly what u are saying.same format ,same dimensions, same sig placement.i can see why you were thinking of framing them together for sure.

Better? It is not quite to scale but I have an original 1975 postcard - it should be used for something. The LP cover seems a bit obvious, and this message is clear and meaningful - the gulf between them and then the missing members. Colors and image are approximate etc. Click for full image:

Hi Eric. This looks great. I would definitely be framing these 2 gems together for sure. Cool postcard too.  I do like the black on black framing and matting but can you do a black frame with white mat mock up to compare with this?

I really like Paul's display, after looking at it I don't mind them open as much. I still would say frame them seperate, but next to each other, but it is your two great pieces to decide!

If you were doing extra stuff like tickets for each I would still maybe keep it non spread out to keep it less busy.

I would also maybe get a framed picture of Roger and David together to hang in between both framed pieces!

Agree - this mat was just a crazy color mock up. Will go with flat medium grey perhaps unless I have some other idea. Roger doesn't sign images of himself, or says he doesn't so i was careful to select that Wall image as there is a portrait in there ;) Same with Gilmour - not to easy to find performing, so also covered there re imagery. Thanks for the suggestions!

In framing, I am experimenting using LED-backed lighting (i MEAN BEHIND THE PIECE and inside the frame to illuminate the signature and graphics from behind). Heat is no longer an issue. I am not sure about LED light's effect on signatures.

Wonderful. Heat not a problem (5% heat, 95% light), but the light? LED emits UV radiation it seems.

does that mean it will affect ink even if filter thru paper from behind?

It might sling.....id look into it before you go forward.

Hi Classic Rock,

Thanks. The postcard really says what I wanted and its neat that it is original. The mat was meant to be charcoal grey - will try a lighter mockup - postcard is a bit too large as well.
