Immediately below is a link to a previous thread I posted on Ebay seller Jlholli_79 who is a constant seller of forged Mickey Mantle photo.

https://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/ebay-seller-jlholli...

Week after week, Ebay seller Jlholli_79 sells the same forged image of Mickey Mantle.

Two months ago, a buyer of one of those same forged Mickey Mantle photos read my thread on Ebay seller Jlholli_79 and he decided to send me the forged Mickey Mantle photo that he purchased.

Today, I finally got around to examining it.

As you can clearly see, it is an obvious Mickey Mantle forgery and it isn't a Scoreboard item.

First, the forged Mantle on a photo.

Here is the "Scoreboard" COA.  The below "Scoreboard" COA is a reproduction/copy and not an original.

Here is that forged Mantle photo sold by Ebay seller Jholli_79 after I examined it under my ProScope.

As you can clearly see the above forged Mantle photo was produced on inkjet paper (see the dots).

Not only did Scoreboard not use inkjet paper,  but there is no way Mantle autographed images of himself produced on inkjet paper before he passed away in August 1995.

All of the "Florida" forgeries are images produced on inkjet paper; every GFA-certed item that I have in my possession were images produced on inkjet paper.

If you observe "Sold Auctions" on Ebay under the category of "MLB Autographed Photos," you will notice, that by far, more forgeries are sold than authentic autographs.

Fraud is rampant on Ebay because Ebay is so heavily-populated with delusional autograph collectors and impulse buyers.

Who in their right mind thinks they can purchase an authentic Mickey Mantle signed photo with a COA from Scoreboard for $40.00.

The buyer of the forged Mantle photo above was purchased by the seller for a whopping $40.00.

I asked the buyer "How could you possible think that you bought an authentic Mantle for $40.00?"

Their reply was "I thought I got a lucky deal."

I bought the above forged Mantle photo from the seller for $25.00.  I will hold on to it.

Who in their right mind thinks they can purchase an authentic Mickey Mantle signed photo with a COA from Scoreboard for $40.00. Dopey Buyers, that's who

Their reply was "I thought I got a lucky deal." O M G The something for nothing syndrome is behind all this. Very unfortunate, but if you shop for Mantle on E-bay, you will have to look very hard between the pieces of S*** because when I looked last night, the first 30 items that came up only 1 was real. They are so easy to pick out too. You can tell most from the small pic and then the description are hilarious....a nd the "Forensic COA LOLOLOLOL" . The real Chris showed you forensics right here with his pro microscope ala fake Chris (Moraless). That's where F-Bay is right now, they are a shooting gallery for knotheads and dopey buyers being scammed. The amount of forgeries to authentic has to be 50-1 being purchased. If I sold any of mine, I'd ask 300 per photo just for fun like everyone else. Please Fire F-Bay and stop this madness.~Here's an authentic example of the same photo. It looks NOTHING LIK...

there's a new Forensic Sheriff in town who uses his microscope for good instead of evil like this guy did. Where has Fake Chris been?

Wow!  Believe me, I know how many fake Mantle's there are on ebay as I look at them every day.  We should put up listings on eBay with photo's of fake Mantle's and in the heading mention FAKE MICKEY MANTLE PHOTOS  LOOK! The description should give information about these fakes and show examples.  Maybe we can attract some uneducated buyers to spread the word.

Using the microscope is a great idea.

No seller of an authentic Mickey Mantle signed photo is going to list with a Buy It Now of $49.00.

Ebay seller Jlholli_79 has sold dozens of the same forged photo to the suckers on Ebay and I would bet my life they are all produced on inkjet paper like the one I examined above.

The Scoreboard COA from Ebay seller Jlholli_79 is definitely a copy.
