It does have the right flavors IMO

Did you check his AFTAL and UACC registration numbers?

Dang I wish Pete was more active in the Connery arena as he's really much more knowledgeable

Yes to me it looks very close. Yup dealer numbers check out but he wouldn't give me any background on where or how he received it and he did confirm it was not in person. I did post a Bowie from the same seller.

Yes me too, i did PM another the other day, but i am yet to here back.

I think Connery to me at the moment is far too sketchy for me to commit thinking 100% genuine. I got my eye on a John Williams signed Jaws LP that i know is 100% legit, think i will purchase that instead.

Better to go with 100% sure

That '94 Bowie also has the right flavors but see what Eric and Mark say

Maybe that seller is 100% solid

Yup completely agree.

I will awaiting to see if the Bowie passes the Eric and Mark test.

Can you ask the seller if it originated with Bond Collectibles?

Just asked TQ, i will post the reply.

thanks mate!

Have been told that it was acquired via the dealer network.

ok interesting, cheers! Id  stick with the jaws lp for now. I think any big ticket item like a connery should come with specific information not anything as vague as 'dealer network'.

My opinion won't get you a cup of coffee but 30 years experience doesn't guarantee anything. "Close" only counts in horseshoes. Without more details on the when, where, and how these near perfect examples scare me a bit. And, make sure there is a return policy that if it doesn't pass a PSA etc process you can get your money back.

When it comes to Connery, it's all in the details.

I have pasted the returns policy below:

ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC FOR LIFE. IF AT ANY TIME YOU HAVE REASON TO DOUBT THAT AN ITEM IS NOT GENUINE, PLEASE DONT HESITATE TO SPEAK TO ME FIRST. IF YOU WISH TO RETURN YOUR ITEM BECAUSE YOU FEEL THAT IT IS NOT GENUINE PLEASE DO SO WITHIN 30 DAYS, YOU MUST PROVIDE THE WRITTEN OPINIONS OF TWO RECOGNISED AUTOGRAPH DEALERS. UPON THAT INFORMATION I WILL OFFER A FULL REFUND OF THE ORIGINAL INVOICE PRICE. ANY ITEMS RETURNED AFTER 30 DAYS WILL RECEIVE A CREDIT NOTE FOR THE INVOICE TOTAL.

Personally, I don't know who this seller is. He/she may be very upstanding. If I am not convinced the autograph is authentic before I purchase then I would not buy from them. If a seller does not accept one of the major TPA services as valid then I shy away.

I know the services make their fair share of mistakes but the market does accept their opinion overall and a "fail" from them definitely hurts the possible value down the road.

I like simplicity.
