Good morning:

I thought to call on you guys again regarding this set.

Can anyone give me their opinion on this set of Beatles signatures?

As always, very much appreciated.

Have a good day

Tht photo is smaller than I like to give opinions on but these were signed for the Beatles by Neil Aspinall.

I don't think they were signed by Neil.

These are Neil's.

I agree with Steve that the photo is really too small to make an authenticity determination, but these do not appear to be Neil's.  they are either authentic, or decent forgery, but need a better photo to be sure.

You know, they could be real. They really hit me wrong last night.

Hi,

I just tried to provide another pic but its probably the same size.

Is it possible its real?

There is a letter as well. I am trying to get a clear copy of it.

All the best

Hi Steve:

Has your opinion changed about this set? Do you now think its possible they are authentic? The image of the signatures can now be enlarged. Also, I uploaded a letter as well.

Many thanks

Hi, seems like a professional letter with the item. Are the people on this letter reputable? Thanks

I don't comment on the item - I can't see it for one and others here are more experienced with these names. But - how do you know anyone of those undersigned on that letter ever saw the item? That certificate, to me, is essentially just a collection of autopens/preprints itself. I always find this very funny and perhaps even a bit telling - to the consumer that is listening. I have never submitted anything to such a service. As far as autograph grading as here - for me I can't distinguish the grade of an autograph, if we are saying that is what it is, from the substrate/surface signed which has great influence on the outcome. To me they are one and interdependent. Great gimmick though. Besides, such determination is/was the purview of the collector, who can set his own criterion for such a signature on X surface signed when, etc. This is the fun of the hobby.

Steve Grad looked at every Beatles set back then for PSA/DNA. He's quite good on them. But I be surprised if the set being offered is the actual set on the LOA. Probably a reproduction.

  1. Images are small and blurry.
  2. It's being sold on Craigslist.

A real set of Beatles like that can be sold for in a matter of hours for $5,000 easily... even to a dealer. What's it priced at, Mel?

Sold through RR Auction

The LOA is on Craigslist. When did it sell at RR?
