Back in 2013 Stephen Stills played locally and I went to get some things signed.  It turned out that his manager/handler took my LP's onto his bus for him to sign so I didn't actually see him sign these but being that I was the only one there why wouldn't they be real?

I was told that Mr. Stills wanted to give me a special signature, on the Woodstock LP, since I was the only one that showed up for him and as you can see....it is kinda special.

Anybody ever seen him do anything like this before to anybody else?

I’ve gotten Stills in person numerous times, and I’ve NEVER seen anything like that Woodstock album.  That is bizarre. It had to be some kind of a joke...

If you look at it closely you can see his name Stephen Stills in it.  It just might very well be then a one of a kind.  I don't know how much if any trouble I would get trying to have it authenticated though.  Even when I know how I actually got it....it still sounds kind of unbelievable.

Huge chasm. Several have suggested a joke to me as well.

I assume that the implication of it being some kind of a joke to be that maybe someone other Stephen Stills signed it.  Could be. But the overall attitude and conversation that went on there at the time leads me to believe that if it is a joke that it would be from Mr. Stills.  Any thoughts on that avenue?  Or am I just holding onto any possibility of it being genuine?

I believe it is the former. I'm sorry.

If you would have seen it signed with your own eyes it would indeed be unique (in a Picasso type of way) and therefore very valuable to you alone as it is not sellable in this form.

I cant understand why SS, who has been so consistent with his signature since the 1960's, would go SO obscure and off piste on this one off occasion. The only way it can be verified is if someone has a similar piece or has seen him do similar but I doubt its going to happen.

I think you have "had your leg pulled" on this one - harsh but true.
