Hi There.  I have The Who Quadrophenia double album signed in the centrefold by all 4 members plus their quirky anecdotes, referencing their time spent in Montreal and the infamous hotel room trashing where they were subsequently arrested.  Keith Moon says "Busted in '73 by the RCMP for Whoing about.  Loved Montreal" . And Roger Daltrey says "Tommy The Who kid got off at Montreal to speak", etc etc.

Plus a comment by someone who signs it as "Svengali and the Natural Blondes".  No idea who that might be?

I love this piece because I think there's a mystery here. What's the story, were they all partying together after the incident and they signed it for one of the partygoers?

At the very least, it's a fun and interesting piece of music history.  However, I don't know if it's authentic.  Picked it up at a vinyl flea market, for .50 cents!  Guy didn't know what he had..I bargained him down from a buck.  Lol

Have included pics.  Can anyone help authenticate?

Thanks

My favorite part is...that you talked him down from a dollar. You sir...are crazy! hahahaahaha. Anyway....don't think it's real. I've never seen a Keith look that legible. But....have no clue what the heck it's all about

Josh thanks for the reply

I Googled around a bit for their signatures and I had the same impression that the signatures are quite legible something you might not expect.  In a past life I was a banker and do know that signatures change over time especially so when youre a celebrity.  Also, the style of the script is more akin to Enlish handwriting. I know as I am an expat from England and have observed the diference between Canadian and English styles of handwriting.  However, for me it's the quirky references that may lend some interest/credibility.

Would love it if anyone else can help.

Many thanks

Many similarities between each set of writing, appears to be signed by the same person.  Definitely not legit.

Not even close to be a legit set of the Who, sorry. I own a early set and their signatures are far different then this.

This looks like signed by the same person anyway.

It does look like it’s all in the same hand. There appear to be some Nazi references included in the writing.

What Nazi references???

They're at the bottom of the second pic.

oh ok that. Well even a reason more to trump that in a trash can

Some drunken idiot wrote "French heil Hiler".  Whatever that means.

It's worth about 50 cents so you broke even.  Poor forgeries signed by the same forger.

Thanks to all Respondents..!

Sounds from your responses it's a pretty decisive thumbs down.  So will assume a drunken bunch of itinerant partygoers had the last laugh...on me..hahas

Next question...anyone remember being at that party?  Lol

Cheers
