Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd Signed Autograph
Good evening guys, I purchased this hand signed autograph at an auction on eBay last night and I wanted to know whether I got the real thing or whether I got scammed, the seller seems to have have a vast history of sales on eBay and he claims it comes with a COA although not a PSA/or a JSA one but he promises it should pass any third party test in the description of the item,
id greatly appreciate any input, Thank you.

And paint pen especially. However, I collect nothing certified or slabbed as those items are usually maxed out on value so I could not say how that is handled. What is the eventual fate of thses types of...resins?

What do you mean? The ink of the signatures will eventually fade and disappear because it encapsulated?

I do not know the answer because I do not collect things entombed in those slabs. With paint pen sticking might be an issue. If I did collect thses things, I would make sure I understood the pros and cons of the encapsulation. Remember, just because something has been encapsulated that does not MEAN it is genuine, or even graded correctly.

We're kind of getting off-topic here. I don't know what kind of protection against fading encapsulation provides. Maybe another member here knows better or maybe there's another thread about it on the site. It is known that many inks fade when exposed to too much light (maybe UV?). But I made the initial comment because autographs can stick to the glass when in a frame. That's why people say to have spacers or mats when framing autographed pieces. Without knowing much about encapsulation, I would think this is a similar situation.

Exactly - older paint pen can be especially sticky.

I think the comic book is as authentic as it can get. Depending on the price. I will tell you that the signatures are much better than Michael's usual in person signature nowadays. If comic books are your thing; it's worth your consideration.
Unless you just happen to be in the right place at the right time you will have to pay between $700- $900 to get a nicely signed piece with Lloyd and Fox with a TPA authentication.
Michael has done a few meet and greet situations and, I believe, the last time I heard of one the cost was around $600 just to get into the event and only one signature allowed. He does some occasional things to raise money for his foundation as well.
Some probably follow him more closely than I. As for problems with the slabbing, I don't think there would be an issue with that as long as it is stored properly. Avoid excessive light and humidity.
If you are wanting to frame for display, I would recommend a quality photo instead. Again, matte and frame it properly with UV protected glass away from direct sources of light.

I'd like to thank everyone that helped me in this thread, i returned the piece that i originally bought from that seller on eBay and got my money back, I ended up spending much more than i originally wanted to but i purchased an amazing CGC Sealed Comic Book with MJF, LLoyd and Thompson signatures instead.
