Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

Mark

Here's an example of a signed Mean Old Man CD insert.

Thanks, Ballroom. This one concerns me. Part of it may be the writing instrument used but the proportions of the J look off for sure, and the downstroke crosses on top of the upstroke from the descender that extends above the ERR. I don't recall a Y like the one on yours, and the small letters period don't look right to me.

Was there a real/not real discussion on this one and are there similar ones?

The discussion was basically:
1. Likely signed by Judith.
2. Roger presented one of them along with four TTMs as being "consistent with each other and not consistent with known authentic exemplars."
3. Roger offered the top right example for sale on his website.
Here are the other ones that I have:

Thanks, Ballroom. What are your thoughts on The Signature Library's IP JLL compared to the ones on CDs that you just posted?

They all appear to be in the same hand to me - The Signature Library LP, the Mean Old Man CD inserts, and the Jazz Festival prints.

Here's one more. The shape of the J on this one is probably closest in appearance to the Signature Library LP.

In what way do the proportions of the J look off? The shape of the J varies, and this one doesn’t look unusual to me. Are you saying that the J was signed in the opposite direction, beginning with the flourish at the end? To me they look similar to the 2007 Jazz Festival print signatures.

Yes, the J appears to be signed from the flourish. The vertical stroke is on top of the cross stroke where they meet. Regarding the J proportions, all four you pointed out look similar to me. I can't see enough of the J above to see how similar it is.

Here is an LP certified that kind of resembles the book sigs, I think !

Anyone try Jerry Lee recently either IP or TTM?  I heard the TTM fee is now 200, is this true?  Recent pictures of Jerry Lee on Facebook show him quite frail and wheelchair bound, but he is still performing!

I haven’t tried or heard of anyone trying TTM recently. I’d be interested in hearing an update too.
