Definitely...and Eric will give you much more detail on it

Thanks for your response

Yes, genuine and nice :-)

Oh yes, I found this, authenticated it and sold it two years ago.

"A superior oversized example of David Bowie’s autograph – vintage, extremely rare, and dated - a gorgeous "open "B" example complete with terminal period after the date (rather unusual). On lovely, light cream very high quality woven vintage stationary bearing the watermark of cream rag Cranes Linen Lawn stationary from Dalton Mass., folded to 4” x 6” (6” x 8” open) with a blazing supersignature, about 4" across (huge), signed quite impressively "BO--° 80." in black felt tip. Dating from late 1980, much tougher than a 90's signature, it was signed at the Booth Theater, NYC. The Elephant Man had its opening night at the Booth on September 23rd and this was signed backstage in Bowie’s dressing room some time after that. This rare and exceptional example is accompanied by an original RCA 12” x 12” vintage 1980 flat by artist Edward Bell promoting Bowie's UK No. 1 album of the period, Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps), which was released just before, on September 12th 1980. Both items are in truly excellent condition (quality/condition of the graph could not be higher), the flat 9.8 of 10 with good corners, vibrant colors, and no fading. Minimal surface marks on top edge."

From the original collector; this is everything I have on this graph. It is at Andy's site davidbowieautograph.com now, I believe, as a 1980 exemplar.

"DAVID BOWIE very nice signature dated 1980 on a white stationery card measuring approximately 4X6 inches. Would be perfect to mat with a favorite photograph of the great David Bowie.. AUTHENTIC Signature, Very GOOD condition.

[Here I will share how and when I received this prized autograph from Mr. Bowie, one of my favorite performers:

I was in New York City on vacation. I saw a performance of "The Elephant Man" and waited for the cast after the performance. That night either Mr. Bowie didn't come out- I had missed him. The next evening I waited again and again I missed him. The third night I waited the backstage doorman walked over to me and said "I've seen you here several nights - who are you waiting for?  I told him 'David Bowie." The doorman said to me "You must be a big fan." I told him I was and how wonderful it was to see Mr. Bowie on the stage." The very nice doorman said "Wait a little longer. I'll make sure that you get to see him tonight." When the crowd of fans withered down, the doorman, named John, told me to come with him. I followed and we entered the backstage door. John knocked at a door that had a nameplate that read 'David Bowie' and had a large star by his name. A voice said 'Yes' and John said 'David, will you see this young man, he's a big fan.' Mr Bowie opened the door and I almost passed out!!  I told him how much I enjoyed his music and how great he was in the play. Would he mind to sign a couple of autographs for me?? He signed this card and my playbill. (the playbill I'm keeping for as long as I can)  He was VERY nice to me! It is a brief moment I will NEVER forget. As I walked to my hotel I knew that I had met royalty. One of my favorite and most memorable celebrity encounters. On a day in  January 2016  I openly wept when I learned of Mr. Bowie's passing. I'm sad  that he is not here with us, but grateful for the work he gave us fans to enjoy. How lucky Iman was to have him in her life - but I am sure Mr. Bowie would say that it was he who was the lucky one, to have the lovely Iman in his life.  :("

Wow! Wasn’t expecting that response
