Frank P Garo authentication - Royce Gracie REAL OR FAKE?

Hi all,

I bought this glove hand signed by Royce Gracie and Frank P Garo says it is not authentic. I am not sure but it cost me $20 and think I should send to PSA or JSA for a second opinion...

I would use Frank Garo for ANYTHING. Also avoid anyone who claims they are a forensic document specialist. I believe his name came up in the infamous "Operation Bullpen" bust awhile ago. Just google it / him.

While Garo is a confirmed boob, and I have never seen an authentic autograph with his certificate, apparently he actually rejected an autograph!!! Nice Job Frank! That should tell ya that this Royce Gracie is not even a Royce Clayton.

Frank P. Garo authenticates nearly anything. My collegue Jaap van den Born tested him out in 2017. Van den Born signed with a felt pen 'A Hitler' on a printed reproduction of a painting definitely not made by Mr. Hitler (1889-1945), photographed it, and sent a jpg-file to Garo for authentication. After Garo was paid $ 45 he issued a Certificate of Authenticity to this home made forgery.

Just to chime in, I've never seen what I thought was a truly authentic Stan Lee, Bruce Lee, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, or Marilyn Monroe autograph accompanied by a Garo COA. That's fairly atypical as far as authenticators go. Even the dubious authenticators get one right, IMO, every blue moon.

What does that tell us. That Garo is the one stop shop for a COA the forger knows that PSA, JSA, or any of the other majors will not give the thumbs up.

Garo is batting .000, IMO, on any of the pieces I've seen authenticated by him, whose signatures I feel I have a good command of recognizing.

The German police have seized this year all alleged Hitler paintings and drawings accompanied by Garo CoAs, that surfaced at auctions in Germany, on suspicion of fraud.

Unfortunately, similar 'Hitlers', offered by American auction houses this year, where not seized by the American police forces, even though my collegue and I handed them all the evidence needed to confiscate these forgeries.
