Here is a Michael Jackson signed soft-cover book, In His Own Words: Michael Jackson by Catherine Dineen, published in 1993.  I recently purchased this.  It comes with an LOA from Roger Epperson.  I just wanted to see what you guys think.  Is it real?  Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Yes. But in this instance, openly and honestly sharing my thoughts on this may constitute a serious breach of forum guidelines and decorum, thus complete restraint in expressing my opinion is most likely the way to go.

It's not you. IMO, it's bad timing of the presentation of the subject matter.

I get what you’re talking about.  My thing is...I don’t believe the two guys who have come forward.  I think Michael was an easy target, and yes he put himself in those situations to be doubted.  But I agree with his family.  This is nothing but a public TV lynching.  The dead can’t defend themselves.  And it’s interesting they’ve waited this long.  Or maybe I’m just like the Trump supporters who just disregard all the women who have come forward.  But it’s awfully brave (tongue in cheek) for these two to come forward ten years after this cultural icon’s tragic passing when he can’t defend himself.  I think they are LIARS.  And I don’t believe Michael is guilty.  I think he was a good man.

As it relates solely to autographs, and in staying on that topic, I predict a steep decline in demand for, thus the value of, MJ material.

What’s the value like for Jerry Lee Lewis autographs, a guy who married his 13yo cousin?

The fan base for Michael Jackson is pretty huge and international.

Do we know for a fact MJ is innocent? No.

Do we know for a fact MJ is guilty? No.

Personal feelings aside, barring unrefutable physical proof (of which to date there is none) or a deluge of accusers to come forward Cosby style, I dont see this documentary changing too many minds or affecting long-term value.

I would agree that some might dump their memorabilia in the short term, but there are plenty more fans who will be happy to snatch that stuff up for a discount (if there is one to be had)

I can’t disagree with anything you said, just some dude.  Great points, all of them.

Totally agree with you James.

Anyone remember Lori Mattix?  I think Jimmy Page does as did David Bowie.  They both supposedly “preyed on” her when she was 14 and 15-years-old.  But demand is still high for their autographs.  Sorry, but these lies about Michael Jackson really do tick me off, particularly when other people’s possible misdeeds get overlooked or ignored.

In my opinion this autograph is Authentic. The inscription is correct. The ‘M’, ‘I’, and ‘C’ are correct. The ‘L’ loop is perfect. The ‘J’ is alittle outside of what I see on Michael’s signature. The ‘ac’ is correct and nicely spaced out. The ‘kson’ part is the only part I’m not positive on. Maybe Michael wrote the ending of his name in a rush and added an extra line up and down. This is a nice signature with Michael’s usual sharp lines. As for the Roger Epperson COA, the best way to verify if the COA is real would be to contact Roger himself. This COA was probably done within the year and Roger should remember if he signed of on this or not. I saw this item being sold before the REAL COA was included, so there should be more than enough time in between then and now for an authentication review to be

done.
