I emailed him. I said, I think you may have a forgery on your hands. I've never seen him sign that way. I kill them with kindness nowadays.

This is what he said....

Well, funny thing is that I might believe you, except for the fact that he signed this for ME, in person, in Albany, NY!
So I happen to know it's authentic because it was ME that got this book signed.
So unless there was a Joe DiMaggio imposter...

Google his autograph and look at the variations over the years. You do realize when he signed mine he was 75 years old?

But it looks like it was signed by a kid, not a 75yo!

the seller needs to improve his knack for exaggeration.  If this were signed in 1979 as he adamantly states, Joe D would have been 65, not 75, and by the way, signing like no tomorrow back then.

I just reported the item. If enough people report it, maybe it will be removed.

who the hell is Joe Dimezzu?

Apparently he played for the Yankees.

LMFAO!

Looks like Billy Madison signed the G's

That "Joe DiMaggio" listed by Ebay seller Savilerow001 is simply laughable!!!

He was "there when it was signed?"

Yeah right.

That is definitely right out of Billy Madison.

There's a thousand lies on Ebay from sellers listing and selling forgeries.

It's one of those things that Ebay is infamous for.

That's why sellers of forgeries are so successful on Ebay, and why more forgeries are sold on Ebay than authentic autographs.

And this one might be worse than my original post!
