Authenticity is Everything
Have you ever seen Joe Dimaggio sign an autograph with a note like this ???

Not one of you can answer the question they were all in the same room at the dinner . She watched her sign it look at the archived photos & film . How can you say it's not her signature everyone could see her signing autographS ?

You can not know for a fact the lady you knew watched MM sign it. I do know that is not Marilyn Monroe's handwriting. The autographs in photos and film will fit the parameters of genuine MM signatures, even if rushed or intoxicated. Yours is not rushed nor intoxicated - it is startlingly legible and bears no relation to the genuine article because it is not genuine.
So they were all in a room - if you sent backstage in 1955 for a Jackie Gleason autograph you'd likely get one - but it was not signed by Gleason and everyone knew he did not sign - there were people to sign it and if not, someone would scrawl something to please a fan (and they did not run to a bathroom to sign it - everyone backstage knew). It is called "non-malicious forgery". This happens to this day.

Trent, you are working way to hard to try and convince us and yourself. Calm down and use a little common sense and logic. If you don’t trust a third party authentication, then send it to a reputable auction house and they will either accept it or decline it. You will get your answer.

Trent, do you think we enjoy informing members that their autograph(s) aren't authentic?
We would much rather rejoice with you on your authentic discovery, but unfortunately, this isn't the case.
One of the primary reasons why the Forgery Industry is so huge, is because people "want to believe" that what they possess "is the real thing."

It could very well be Marilyn had a secretary sitting amongst her that evening.
I have a friend, since deceased, who insisted he had a Charlton Heston in person and I believed it was secretarial. Very possible it was a ttm and he lied to me but he also said the items were sent to the backstage area of an event where possibly Carol Lanning was with sharpie in hand.
You just never know if you don't see it in person. I've heard singers/band members doing the "security takes item on bus" only for the item to come back with a forged signature

+1 Michael Jackson ("bus" signatures), the Beatles (by Aspinall/Evans backstage etc.), Jean Harlow (by "Mama" backstage)...we just saw Bill Wyman signing for the other Stones...

There was no back stage while the dinner and party was going on . I'll find more photos of her signing autographs at the dinner that night .
